RIP Diana Riggs,

Though it was before my time, The Avengers had gone into syndication and could be found on TV in the US when I was a kid.  There was a movie remake of it several years ago.
Goodbye, Mrs Peele.

RIP Diana Riggs,

She was luminous.

But her name is RIGG, not Riggs.

RIP Diana Riggs,

she was?.. i was  younger when i watched Bond...Man from Uncle , T.H.E Cat... they had  'Honey west' on back then one of my friends  had her  action figure  that had a  'kick' and her  arm snapped  up  to point her  sidearm.

Ms Rigg's characters then, were polished, sophisticated  and  'didn't need  a guy to save them"..its is  something i instilled  in my girls  and   am doing with my grand daughters, My wife liked that, she was a bit  quiet in school, but she grew  a little more confident   as we moved through life, until she passed.

Sure there  were  the 'bombshells' but they were normally dainty airheads, needing to be saved... Mrs Peel and   'Mrs" Bond could handle themselves  with out   being contrived  or waving a flag about it.

My games have  many  NPCs that  are women , and they run the gambit of    normal  women, the  hard core  warriors?.. and it  came from watching    some of the pioneers, make a statement for   women in adventure/Sci-Fi genres..books..TV  or Movies.

RIP Diana Riggs,

A sad loss of another acting great and so many many plots.  I first saw her as Emma Peel and then through the years have enjoyed her different roles.  Sadly missed Diana Riggs.

RIP Diana Riggs,

I've always thought Diana Rigg was in a class by herself. Her and Patrick McNee had such incredible class. It was the reason I didn't much like the Avengers movie... while I like Uma Thurman, neither she nor Ralph Fiennes had that kind of class. It's like the director couldn't recognize class.

Hey, donsr! You know you're old when you can remember Honey West and T.H.E. Cat! Throw in Modesty Blaise for the trifecta.

Anyway, miss you, Diana.
