Apologies to All

Last year I had a couple strokes that messed up my memory (and took me a while to recover other functions).   Anyway, I completely forgot that I had an account here and just found the site again.

At the time of my first medical issue, I was running or beginning to run a few games and it appears that I ghosted my friends.  I'm back, but don't expect to be forgiven. Really just wanted to apologize profusely for my sudden disappearance.  I owe that to everyone.

Life happens. Hopefully things are going well for you now and you're on the mend. I don't think I was in any of your games. Just saying.

we had a  few  folks  we lost over the eyars in my games..some..for good? One fellow , his sister got in touch with him, because i was on his emial list.

another  guy was in my space game, left and started his own, that i played  in..he was hit a couple times..its been close to 2 years, so, we'll never  know i guess.

It good of you to  let folks know, those who game  together , sometimes become  close ..its better the 'wondering"

Take care of yourself ..RL  comes first!

I'm sorry to hear that, and you were definitely missed. There's no need to apologize, my Mother suffered a stroke several years ago so I've seen first-hand what they can do to your health, mind, and memory. I'm just glad to hear you're okay, and I hope you've fully recovered. And thank you for coming back to let us know what happened, and take care of yourself.

Wow.

I know I wasn't in any of your games, but if you had a stroke, and lost some of your memory because of it, and you are just now getting back to it, that's pretty good. And no one who may have lost communication with you can possibly blame you for that. At least I would be quite surprise if anyone did.

I say you have no need to apologize for that.

Hopefully you are getting better, reworking and rebuilding those neural reflexes, and getting back to "normal".

My well-wishes to you. =)

As far as GM ghosting excuses go, "I had multiple strokes" is a pretty good one.

Explanation good; apology unnecessary (but nice thing to do). Hope you're able to participate in RPOL again.

Not played in your games before but no need to apologise for a medical issue and so no forgiveness needed. Glad you are feeling better and back to a hobby you enjoy.

not played in your games, but as a fellow stroke survivor got one tip for you. Eat pepperment, it helps regenerate nerve endings in the brain, can help with memory retention as well. I know this from personal experience.

Dude, not in any of your games, but I would not need an apology for a medical situation like that.  You have to take care of you, and some things you just have no control over.  I'm sure your players will say the same.

I so not think you were in any of mine but contact any players and if in other games you might have played in and just say you were sick.  The bottom line here is that you have made an apology and what I and MOST others actually do is wish you a healthy road to recovery but you take care of you no matter what.  Your health is the most important thing and wishing you full recovery to be able to enjoy roleplaying with friends again. xx

Having been in two of your games at the time I'm happy to find out what happened but saddened hearing what it was that caused you to vanish. You don't owe anyone an apology but it's a sign of your character that you did. Welcome back and I wish you the best on your continued recovery.
