RIP Gilbert Gottfried

Was sad when I heard of his passing. A true comedic genius. I don't care what it was he always brought a smile to my face.

RIP Gilbert, I know there's joyous laughter upstairs.

RIP Gilbert Godfried

One of the most remediable voice actors, as well as comedic genius of our time - sad news indeed.
I can still hear his sarcastic voice as the Villainous Parrot in the Aladdin movies, as well as several other movies and TV shows he did over the years.

Was he related to Gilbert Gottfried? (Sorry- I couldn't resist.)

I am sad about his passing as well. He wasn't my favorite comedian in the world but he was: (1) iconic, and (2) an incredibly decent person (by all accounts).

Condolences to his loved ones.

I never got really familiar with him, but he had to have been a good guy.  Anyone who is that obnoxious-sounding would have to be an incredible person to become as popular as he was.

He will be missed.

I was watching some videos of his appearances on Comedy Central roasts.  HOLY FECES!  The way he tore into people, it is very surprising he didn't get slapped worse than Chris Rock!  He must have been a really great guy!

A comedian who can remind you that it's still okay to laugh during the worst times is a great comedian.  RIP

From what my sister in law said he was. Learned she met him once.

Course I still miss his Aflac ads.

He also is known for telling the filthiest version of an old joke called "The Aristocrats".

That's quite an accomplishment, but I'm not at all surprised.  When he did something, he did it right!

There's a 5-minute on youtube if you want to check it out. IIRC it's from the Friars Roast for Hugh Hefner shortly after 9/11.

Gilbert riffed/ranted in between videos during the early days of MTV (when it was still spectacular).

With Robin Williams, helped Aladdin be a thing.

Aristocrats post 9/11 helped America show it could laugh again.

One of the best roasters of all time.

Tons of voice work over the years.

The best Hollywood Square participant ever.

Amazing comic.

Good person.

RIP Gilbert G, your comedy will live forever!
