RIP Raquel Welch

RIP Raquel Welch

I only watched  a couple movies  with her in? She still was  my fav  icon  starlet, when i was in my late teens to  20's

she was 82, and looked very good for  that age.. I am sad. So many icons of  my youth are vanishing.

RIP Raquel Welch

She was a very good actress who got pigeon holed because of her wonderful build and large chest. Cast as the sexy one pretty much universally (which was true, but she had a much better range than that in the few movies or tv shows I recall from the 70s and 80s she did that did not focus on her physical build)

I am a bit shocked to hear of her passing, though given her age, not to surprised. Our generation of Great Stars are all leaving us. So very sad.

In addition to being a famous beauty, she also must have had a great sense of humor, judging from her appearance on Seinfeld in the classic episode, "The Summer of George" (s8, ep22).

she did alot of stuff, she was on the Muppet show, she was a delight to see on late night talk shows, as Shadow  said, she was quick witted and  hand   the hosts back on their heels alot., with comebacks and jokes of her own/.

One of my favorite roles of hers is still as Constance, the Queen's dressmaker and D'artagnan's lover in the 1970's Three/Four Musketeers.
Might have to go re-watch that tonight.

Also had what was, at the time, a controversial love scene with Jim Brown.
At least as controversial as the kiss between Kirk and Uhura.
I can't remember the name of the Western that was in though.
