It looks like someone ate a whole box of pastel crayons and then became violently ill.

Teh pastel colors are much like the ones in the old Victorian doll houses.

Unicorn coloring is found in multicolored sprinkles and frostings, ergo the comment.

*sigh* You know? I like the themes. Not just a little bit. I HATE April Fools tradition of pranks, but being a hermit I avoid that. RPoL's themes make my day. BBR has repeatedly commented on the very few number of instances RPoL has the themes, and I always am surprised at how little, makes so much difference. It's polarizing, I think, but I love the themes. If I didn't, I probably would look at them once and then set my time zone ahead (for me, since I'm far back) to avoid them.

Also, now looking at glaxton, I see you can just avoid that by using the updated responsive site. So I...I'll just say I appreciate the fact those that want the faerie cake can have it, and those that don't have a choice not to look at it. Having these themes is a small cheer in my otherwise dreary past ~400 days.

If you have set a theme/custom colors then no holiday themes will intrude.

I'd have to log out to see what everyone is talking about.

I wonder if the unicorns would take offense at that.

To be honest, I appreciate the special themes. If it hadn't been affirmed by the latest one, I wouldn't have realized what day it was.

I'm using the mobile-friendly version.  It doesn't do that.  Yay.

Ah, the annual technicolor yawn.
I enjoy the fact I can set my own color scheme and have it override this mess. I'm not a fan of the Christmas one too. I think those are the only two days they do this that I can remember.
