It doesn't have to be your favorite or the greatest thing of all time, and it doesn't even have to be shilling for someone to run it or something, but what have you seen or read that you just thought was fun or cool or just neat?

To start: I like roan studio's setting/map supplements. I enjoy the art style and I think I'd enjoy being in a game run the way they present it.

I just received the PDF version of The Magnus Archives RPG that just came out, and the artwork is frikkin' AWESOME. Still reading through the system, but the art went above and beyond, and I can't wait to get my physical copy of "A Guest For Mr. Spider".

I just picked up "Monstrous Races" for D&D 5e from the DM's Guild site, and as someone who loves unique alternate character builds, it's smack-dab exactly in my wheelhouse. The author has converted every monster from the Monster Manual into a playable character race. 228 playable races + 116 subraces. WOOT.

I got wrath of the immortals for 5 dollars at a yard sale, I told the owner it's worth way more online, and she said please you looked delighted when you saw it. So I am over the moon I remember playing this in High School.

Despite Degenesis being canceled going forward, I appreciate that the creators made their product free. The artwork in their books, as well as their Icon pages (essentially some NPC bios), is a source of constant inspiration for characters and stories.

I’m going back and playing persona 4 and it reminded me why I love it so much. I think persona 4 has some of the best characters and writing in a video game. The story is insanely cohesive simple yet has some nuances and overall just a good time!

I'm loving playing Arcanum: Steamworks and Magick Obscura. I love the science and magick shifts. I love how levels don't directly translate to power.

I've been halted on Arcanum because I can't cast it to my T.V. So I've been casting and capturing my all time favorite game, Fallout 4.

I'm not a Fallout fan. Simply because I haven't played any others. I am a very diehard game (not lore) fan of Fallout 4. I go deep into the game design without the desire to mod. Modding looks fun, but I'm not there yet. Even though that's the big focus for 90% of players. I find I suck the marrow from bone before I'm "done" with a game.

I love the defending of settlements. I think back to when I watch Aliens (the Cameron film) in 2001 and wished there was video game like DOOM (only FPS I knew) where you could also have base defense. The FPS element mixed with...chems! Specifically Ultra Jet, is really fun. I went through a blind playthrough to level 282 and have two open perks with nowhere to put them, mostly because it was blind playthrough actively avoiding any tips, tricks, or advice. Otherwise I know it would be....284 IIRC. My game file is too long, or big, or something, and I can't continue. I had planned to play on survival to explore the world, but I admittedly spent RL days (probably over two weeks!) just vegging (as in just chilling and mindlessly going through motions) because it gave me an escape.. The save file dates back to 2018, but has 64 days of play on it. I have over 2,900 hours in the game total. I have eight captured characters, but only two survived technical difficulties and also realizing "plan ≠ outcome". I had a root basher that had Paintrain, and I made it to level 50! Great! But...then I had all this stuff that admittedly needed other perks to fill out, that I didn't have. Made me sad. I learned from it though. Learning is really fun, because it's informative. That level 50 was an example of having all captures, but sadly the juice wasn;t worth the squeeze. So she's captured, but I deleted her game save files. If ever I want a bigger challenge than just Very Hard bus < Survival, I'll watch her VoD and see if I can make it work.

A little while ago, the concept of Doggerland was the flavor-of-the-month in some circles, and I love that.(There was a boardgame, the RPG "Maskwitches of Doggerland" which is weird and kind of delightful, and even Osprey Books did a 'what if Doggerland were not only still above water in the early 1900s, but a front in WW1?' seriously-thinking-about-it alternate-history textbook.

It wasn't (to my knowledge) because of anything news- or  media-related that happened, it was just a whole bunch of people going off on a tangent. That's pretty cool.

Reading the X-Men sourcebook for the Marvel Multiverse TTRPG has really reignited my love for those kooky mutants. It really has the mind moving for potential games and overall, I thought it was just a fun read in addition to a good expansion for the system.

World of WarCraft: Season of Discovery.  Man, it's like being seventeen again, except I'm over twice that old and have a tobacco pipe and I know what I'm doing.  Real fun stuff.  Real cool.
