It's an old flash game, you can probably still find it if you google it. I think there's (probably) a couple of them, though, and I don't remember which ones I played at the time.
Probably the second, it's always the second, it seems.
Actually, I looked it up and I think it's the first. There's only two, which is surprisingly tame for a flash game (they were so bad they were good)

The idea of the 'quiz' is that it's really hard and requires 'out-of-the-box' (read: stupid) thinking. There's also a lot of meta stuff where you have to do weird stuff with the screen (that isn't just answering questions) to complete.
I won't spoil too much, but one level asks you to go between two blue circles, without crossing the red which kills you. It requires that you right click or exit the window somehow, and then move your mouse over while not technically in the game... It's pretty neat.
Beware: many many puns.
Anyway, the art style is unique and nostalgic, and it's pretty frustrating (you get 3 lives (for wrong answers), and can gain 'question skips', but some questions are unskippable)
if you die, the game restarts!
I still remember some of the answers, years later.

If you're talking about compressing it into a diamond, that's true for nearly every carbon-based material. i mean, humans could probably be made into diamonds. lol.
