22:26, Today: The Fool on the Hill rolled 66 using 1d100.  Zombie Apocalypse Roll. (1)

The Fools turns back towards RabbitBall to contest his claims, but a zombie takes the chance to bite him right when his focus on keeping the zombies at bay drops momentarily.
"I will bite you instead!!" he says, as he's already a zombie now!

16:47, Today: RabbitBall rolled 28 using 1d100.  Zombie Check Human (6, still Governor)

"Not if you can't catch me!!" RabbitBall closes the doors to the dandelion shop and boards it up to prevent the horde of zombies outside from entering. The guards are told to keep zombies out but if they find a human out there, to let the Rabbit Response Team know so they can sneak the human in through the hidden tunnels. Meanwhile, RabbitBall forms a group of humans to work on a vaccine.

09:12, Today: The Fool on the Hill rolled 47 using 1d100.  Zombie Apocalypse Roll. (Zombie 2)

The most Foolish zombie on the Hill runs (at a zombie speed) to the Dandelion shop boarded up window and start pounding them.
"Get out and face me as a Man! Hem... I was meaning that you should behave like a man.... while you are still a man... of course..." then the Foolish zombie pauses "...and I should behave like a zombie.... of course... as long as I am a zombie... of course..." he pauses again "...I mean: let's all behave as we should... as long as we are what we are... of course... and we are now what we are not... and... hum..." these philosophic thoughts seem to confuse the Fool.

Re: Zombie Apocalypse Showdown

RabbitBall gets reports from the vaccine department that they have made progress, but no one inside the compound wants to test it. So, being the good governor he is, he takes the vaccine and wanders out into the field ahead of him, giving the guards a complicated tongue twister as a password to let him (or other humans) back in.

He walks up to the first zombie he finds and lets the bite happen. He starts chanting, ""I'm Jorge, the Unhangabe Hobgoblin, I'm Jorge the Unhangable Hobgoblin, I'mmm Horrrhay the unnnnnnnnhhhh..." When he tries to wander back, the guards try to get him to recite the tongue twister but all he can muster is grunts and is denied, have clearly been turned into a zombie.

Re: Zombie Apocalypse Showdown

The attempted zombie vaccine turns out to be a cure, but on an extremely long delay. As he recovers, he realizes he's being turned away from the human camp. Well, that's why we test. So he starts shouting to the guards, "I'm Jorge the Unhangable Hobgoblin! I'm Jorge the Unhangable Hobgoblin! I'm Jorge the Unhangable Hobgoblin!!"

The guards then administer the test he prepared beforehand specifically for him. They hand him a pair of ropes which he wraps around his waist. One guard stands at each side and pulls on the ropes while he chants about being the Unhangable Hobgoblin. Instead of tightening around RabbitBall's waist, they fly off him, one in each guard's hands. This was the sign that he was free of zombie toxin, and they let him in. Because of the delay, they keep him in quarantine just in case.

13:05, Today: RabbitBall rolled 42 using 1d100 ((42)). Human (1)

OOC: On a tie, you decide the result. And I think Froggy is still on his 3-streak as a zombie, so that makes him king until someone beats the streak.

Re: Zombie Apocalypse Showdown

A stray needle in the ground near the dandelion shop stabs into RabbitBall's foot. Due to his zombieness, he doesn't notice until the fluid goes into his leg and up throughout his body. When the first drops hit his brain, RabbitBall realizes that he's standing outside the dandelion shop and it took a rogue injection to cure him.

Seeing the Fool babbling about near the entrance, RabbitBall realizes that he needs to draw this interloper away before trying to enter. He waves at the fool and shouts keeping just out of range of the Fool and other zombies. Once they're away, he identifies himself as Jorge the Unhangable Hobgoblin and passes the rope test to once again enter the shop.

At last, the Zombie-Fool remembers the password: "I'm Jorge, the unhangeable Hobgoblin!"
Oh! Surprise! He managed it!!!
That was because the weak vaccine effect came and went and now came again!
The Fool, human again, is in front of the dandelion shop, with a crowd of zombies behind! he runs to the shop, repeating over and over the password, expecting the human barricaded inside the shop to give him salvation.

Re: Zombie Apocalypse Showdown

After a brief bout of brain fog and an appetite for human flesh, RabbitBall shakes out of it and returns to the dandelion shop where he sees a Fool trying to get in. He flags down the guards, steps in, and takes the two ropes in front of the potential interloper. He shows the Fool that the two ropes are tied together at their center by a black thread. Folding each rope at that point, he wraps them around his waist and hands one rope (both ends) to each of the guards. To an outsider not paying attention, it would look each guard was given one end of two different ropes and the part where they are tied together is hidden behind his back under his jacket.

As they pull, RabbitBall repeats the "I'm Jorge the Unhangable Hobgoblin" line until the string breaks and each guard just has one rope. They then hand another pair of ropes done similarly to the Fool.

RabbitBall makes a long explanation and demonstration to the Fool, but the unbalanced dose of the vaccine fails again to keep him as a human... he turns again into a Zombie-Fool and cuts the lesson short by attempting to bite him!

There's a reason the test is hard; it's to keep flighty people out. In response to the Fool's attempt to bite him, RabbitBall ducks underneath, picks up the Fool safely, and drops him outside the dandelion shop, pointing him toward a newly turned zombie that looks a bit like a human, hoping it will distract him away from the entrance.

23:12, Today: The Fool on the Hill rolled 33 using 1d100.  Zombie Apocalypse Roll. (Human 1)

The uncertain effect of the scarce dose of vaccine once again turns the Zombie-Fool into the Fool. He realises that he's precipitating down from the dandelion shop into the hard floor, surrounded by freshly-transformed zombies. While he falls backwards, he realises that RabbitBall is pointing at one of the freshly transformed zombies, as if challenging the zombie to eat the Fool.
The Fool instead, while he's falling, points at RabbitBall and swears... until the hard floor suddenly stops his fall and his swearing.
