In reply to Sheila Masters (msg #43):

"If we can find something for free, I'd rather take that," Darvin said seriously, though he kept his voice low. "Is there some abandoned properties near the refinery that we can use? If not, cheap and with a view of the place would be best. Come up with some options and we'll pass them to the group to see what they think."

Merreck point to a nearby restaurant, within sight of the terminal Sheila was using. "Let´s try that place. Alice and Argon can join us when they are done."

The little astromech follows the pack until 'Alice' separates.  Then he looks back and forth until another droid bumps him.  In an instant the 'mech lets out an irritated beeping at the offending droid.


Then A9 seems to calculate and rolls after Mika, presumably because she's the only one in the group that can understand him.

Sheila will bring up some things on the terminal.

Aryan, standing a pace from the group, constantly looks around, having an eye out.  Hearing the beep from 'alice' and teh interaction of the droids, Aryan snorts. "Founds a friend.." he mutters.

As the droid beeps, Mika lets out a snort.  "That's not very polite, true maybe but not very polite."

Merreck raise his eyebrows as he hears Mikas reply to the droid. "What did it say, Winni?"

A9 makes a final annoyed noise at the departing droid and swings around again to follow Mika.

Walking along with the group smiles at the interaction between Mika and A9 "Are you sure you want to know what it said?" he asks Merreck.

As they walk towards the restaurant Xil comes to the conclusion that trying to identify any threat to them in the extremely busy terminal was close to, if not, an exercise in futility. As they had just arrived, if they had already attracted attention then it meant that something had gone wrong while in transit if not before hand. Still remaining generally cautious he relaxes a little and thinks about what to have for breakfast.

Merreck smile and mutter something quietly to Xil as they walk along.

Merreck sit down in a seat at a big table, as if he was finaly planetside after a long space trip, and hungry for some real food. He starts browsing through the menu with a critical expression, occasionally asking the serving bot what the dishes are. He probably figures their best bet at going unnoticed is to act normal, and so doesn´t much bother with finding out if anyone is following them.

Winni shrugs.  "Our esteemed astromech droid was expressing its dislike for the protocol droid's clumsiness and has suggested that the protocol droid's creator was a laundry equipment maintenance man."  Even as she's saying it, Winni has a hard time getting the words out without distorting them with laughter.

'John' streamss a local news feed onto his datapad and starts looking thought it
“the first thing we need is to get hotel rooms then find a place near the refinery” said Rann. “And we need to be on the right side of the refinery.  No point having a great view of the south side if all the action is on the north.” explained Rann.

Merreck shuckled at what Mika said the droid had said "It seems to have an attitude." He shook his head as if at ridiculous thought.

In answer to Ranns opinion on lodgings, he tried to calm the man, so Sheila could be left to do her job, and they could keep their cover. "Don´t worry, I´m sure Alice will find us something good. Once we have somewhere to stay, we can look around for other places. Patience, John, we´ve only just arrived."

Xil gave a little chuckle to Merreck's quiet comment

After settling down at the table he flick's through the menu until he finds something labelled along the lines of The big breakfast to get you going for the day and orders it.

Sheila looked at Darvin.  "What do we want?  We need a place to stay like a hotel, and then I need to find a private terminal somewhat close to the headquarters or the plant so I can find out about the convoy.  Or dp we just want an abandoned warehouse, if there are any?"

Winni takes a look at the available options.  She usually is not much of a morning person or a big breakfast person, but today is a bit of an exception.  She starts with a local juice and some fruit, then a pastry or two and finally, some stewed grains with some sweetener.

"Let's look at all the options, so that we can discuss it with the others. If it were up to me, it'd be an abandoned warehouse, but the others might have some valuable insights, so let's work on some options and see what fits better. I don't want to spend all day on it, but two heads are better than one," Darvin said. "What is it that you'll need exactly for the convoy planning? Just the terminal? If that's a requirement, add that in your parameters."

While 'Alice' and 'Argon' remained huddled over a data terminal, the others order and recieve their meals.  The food is typical spaceport fare, too minimal and too pricy but after seven hours on a ship without even a stale cracker to share, the team are up for nearly anything.


OOC: Anyone getting up to anything while they wait for Darvin and Sheila?  Apart from Rann reading news articles on the starport's free wifi and eating and drinking while your hungry colleagues work that is?  :P

"Very very nice..." he said as Darvin looked over Sheila's shoulder. She had been finding things that he thought might just be very very useful for the refinery hit, but nothing close by that would assist in doing some recon on both the refinery and the convoy flight plans at the same time. Darvin scratched his beard pensively. "Alice, get us more details on that chemical waste disposal factory, and I suppose we'll have to rent a place in Seba Grove... did you want anything by the way? Kaf, zaccon and eggs, or are you more the waffle type?"

As she told him what she wanted, Darvin glanced around to see where the others were. He didn't like leaving her alone and he hoped someone would look in their direction and offer to check her six while she looked for places.

Devon ambled over and watched Darvin and Sheila's research for a few moments, before speaking.
'Well, I got some bits I need to pick up - stuff I think I'm going to need.  You can reach me on the comm if you need me.  Gonna hit the local shops, anyone wanna come along?'

After waiting to see if anyone wants to go enjoy some retail therapy with him, Devon ambles off, pausing only long enough to purchase something greasy off a nearby fast food stand.

Mika shrugs.  She wasn't accomplishing anything sitting here and after the long freighter ride, she liked the chance to stretch her legs.  "Sure, I'll tag along."

In reply to Darvin Sloan (msg #62):

Alice downloaded everything he mentioned, the hotels, etc. "I need somewhere private to slice into, a terminal would be nice, they sort of advertise where the connections are.  I can do it anywhere that has the connections., but it'll take time and the last thing I need is a guard asking me what I'm doing.   Right now, everything I have is open info but I have to get into Phindar.  Caf zaccon and eggs. thank you."

when she disconnects from the terminal, she's downloaded all the open infor about the refinery and the company, all the local industrial stuff for sale and rent, and anything that might possibly be vacant, cheap local motels,  the locations of public terminals and  info on the chemical waste disposal factory.

While eating, Merreck read the starports free news channel to get some info on local events.

R2-A9 hangs around the table while Mika/Winni eats, not really doing much.  Then he swings about as the young engineer gets up; rather than following along, however, the astromech scans about for a terminal with a scomplink and heads for it.

Aryan sits quietly, eating a meagre meal and looking around. At the mention of looking around, the gungan gets up.  He looks at the others. "Don'ts get into trouble without me..."
