Act 4 - Sidebar - Destruction Team

Jamie, Xil and Rann, blow stuff up!

A copy of your message:

Team 1 - Destruction Team (Jamie, Xil, Rann)

The file for you guys holds a picture of Senator Nirac Foluk the Third.  It includes a brief bio, list his place of residence and where his office is.  It also lists his full itinerary for today.  Starting form right now (it's about 1445):

1400-1600 - Cabinet Meeting with Energy Council (Senate Building)
1600-1630 - Meeting with chair of Electricity Council
1630-1700 - Meeting with Minister for Transport
1700-1715 - Travel to Imperial Hotel for function
1715-1800 - Appear at function

The rest of his day has been left free and the next day is also free.  Apparently the Senator plans to take some time off.

Appended to the itinerary is a note from Zyra.

'Do not kill this man.  He has more value to us alive.  But we need you to attack either him or his position.  You will pose as members of the Homosuperior organisation, a hardline, anti-alien movement.  You will spread work that the Senator is an alien lover.  I've attached a few holos that will help.  We need this man fearful for his life and facing a scandal by tonight.  Blow something up, snipe at his limo, spread copies of the holos I'm sending, whatever you can.  Good luck!

The holos are shots of the Senator getting 'friendly' with various alien females; a Twilek, a Zeltron and a few others.  Mostly hugging or kissing, but a few more 'intimate' shots.

Re: Act 4 - Sidebar - Destruction Team

Xil quickly uses his datapad to bring up the most direct route between the Senate Building and the Imperial Hotel. With the time frame that they have, taking a shot at the Senator would be easiest when he is traveling.

Speaking to Jamie and Rann as he gets his information "There should be less security at the Hotel, so an attack there should be easiest. We have a few hours to prepare for that and in the mean time leaking those holopics would be a good way to lead up to our staged attack if that's the way we choose to go."

that and bomb or attack the senate building while he is at the hotel and leave a fake itinerary which said they thought he was at the senate building that night” said Rann “ we could also break in to his residence and steal something from say his refrigeration unit and send it back to him as a message” he told them of another idea which could work.

"Attacking him 'indirectly' has advantages, especially the fact there is no risk of accidentally killing him. Your idea's are something we should look into a little further" Xil replied to Rann

Re: Act 4 - Sidebar - Destruction Team

Jamie tapped a finger on his cheek.
"This function at the Imperial Hotel seems fairly important.  We have holos.  Perhaps we should take a more subtle route?  Rather than blowing something up...don't get me wrong, I always enjoy that...maybe it would be more effective in this case to incite anger against him with subtlety.  He needs to be afraid for his life, but maybe it doesn't need to be from us.  It could be from the public.  What if, right smack in the middle of the function, we hijack a holo display and broadcast these holos all over the Imperial Hotel?"

Re: Act 4 - Sidebar - Destruction Team

to do that  we need a splicer to hack into the ball rooms holo-displays and holo-recorders, ” answered  Rann “we need to know what is next to the hotel”  he told them as he wrote other ideas down
1) need one of us dressed as a valet and get in his speeder and have it blown up.
2) Break into his house and vandalise alien lover on wall etc.
3) after the hotel break in and leave copy’s of the holopics with something from his frigde

Re: Act 4 - Sidebar - Destruction Team

"Well, we have a few options to consider" he said to Jamie and Rann "we should probably go and recon the Imperial Hotel and maybe his residence to get  a better idea of what is possible. As we don't have a lot of time I suggest we get a move on."

Re: Act 4 - Sidebar - Destruction Team

After dropping off Devon's team at the spaceport, Xil stretched his legs, glad that Mika was no longer sitting on him.  Then the group took off again, heading for the Imperial Hotel, with a detour passed the Senator's home.

The house was a deluxe two-story mansion with a high fence and elaborate external security.  From a vantage point, well away from the house so as not to cause suspicion, Xil examined the house with his macrobionoculars.  He could see the fences were high and ringed with proximity sensors, as was the mansion's roof.  A guard house stood next to the main gate and was big enough to house two guards.  A lone spherical droid patrolled the gardens.  Xil couldn't place the droid's make.  Seeing nothing else of note, he gestured to Jamie to fly on.

OOC:  Anyone who wants to identify the droid can make a Knowledge (Technology) check DC15.  Where's Cor when you need her?  She'd identify it in a heartbeat!

It took a few more minutes to reach the Imperial Hotel.  It was clearly a very high class hotel judging simply by the quality of luxury speeders and limosuines pulling in at one of the two entrances.  The windows were heavily tinted for privacy and from experience, XIl knew they'd be reinforced against blaster fire.  There was no obvious external security but that didn't mean there wasn't any.  Places like this tended to keep their security more covert so as not to alarm the guests.

OOC:  This place is fancy.  Think the best 5-star hotels and you're on the right track.  Then add the paranoia of the Empire and you'll get an idea of probably security (loads of people would love nothing better than to pop an imp in his hotel room!)

so the mason is out for the moment until we can get the others to help us which leaves this place” said Rann looking at the hotel and the surrounding buildings. “We need to find a way in or a way to cores  a little chaos” he told the others.

Re: Act 4 - Sidebar - Destruction Team

Looking over the building Xil shook his head, this wasn't going to be an easy task. As he looked around, he tried to pick out security personnel. He doubted that it was as clear as it appeared.

"Lets check out some of the surrounding buildings, they might provide us with some sort of opportunity." As he moved off to see what he could see, he let his sniper training and instincts take over. He was looking in the first instance for a way to get into one of the buildings unnoticed, especially if it appeared connected to the Imperial Hotel. Other than that, he was looking for a spot that would keep them out of sight, loitering in front of the hotel would be sure to attract attention.
