"Then staying away from the tunnel will be particularly easy for you," Cor replies in the same calm tone.  "Thank you for your cooperation.  If you wish your last trooper to cease being a threat I suggest you think of a way of convincing him you've been captured or killed."  Her tone doesn't suggest annoyance at his refusal to slay the man.

"Heis blindfolded so whoever is going to extract me can use that to play him in to believing, I have been captured."

"Fair enough.  Then that is between you and Alpha."

In reply to Cor Lambar (msg # 49):

Rather quietly on the private comlink.  "What do we do once we get there?"  SHe's actually concerned about the condition of the refugees.

"I'll be here when he is available."

Cor replies quickly over private comms.


Then she asks, "Troop Leader, can you confirm whether your troop speeder has tracing equipment that your command might track it with?"

"I have absolutely no information about that. All I know, I wasn't really given much of a briefing about the mission and as far as I am concerned, I wouldn't put it past the Imperial Intelligence to slip a tracker on the speeder, just in case."

"Understood, Troop Leader."

"The imperials are inquiring about the state of the mission as it is already 15 minutes overdue. The refugees have left the warehouse, leaving me with the last stormtrooper and I fear, the Imperials might send a team to investigate, if I do not reply. However, the refugees planted an idea of abducting me in to the mind of that last stormtrooper, so all we need is to evac me and stun him again, so it should look like I was really abducted."

Public channel:

"Troop leader, Alpha, am heading your way to evac you. Plan noted with your remaining trooper. If you can put off the imperials questioning for a little bit we'll have you out of there."

Private channels:

"Alpha, we have a problem. The Imperial C&C did not buy my explanation. I'll try to stall them, but can not promise it'll stop them from sending reinforcements. How do we proceed?"

"Talon Leader, can you provide a likely ETA of the reinforcements' arrival?"

"I have been informed by the Imperial Command, my team has five minutes to finish the mission and be on our way back. Can you arrange a pick up before that timeframe expires?"

Cor responds rather swiftly.

"Whilst Alpha would have a better idea of their time frame for arrival, Troop Leader, I - rather predictably - have a suggestion for securing a little more time.  If Imperial Command has given you five minutes then perhaps it would be salient to contact them after four, state your mission is complete and that you are returning to base with a realistic ETA; you'd be best placed to know how long it would take you to travel from the warehouse to your base.  That will extend the time frame to four minutes plus your ETA, yes?"

"Yes, I will do that. Alpha, keep to the speed limits and do not attract attention. If you have any way of telling whether there is a tracker onboard the speeder, I suggest you check for it or we're going to face a very short ride before were gunned down by a TIE."

"Nice plan remote, were you reading my mind? Troop leader we are approximately ten minutes from you, hopefully it took you longer than that to get to your current location. Actually, the longer it took you the better. We will keep to speed limits and check for a tracker."

It's quite some time before Cor replies.

"Troop leader, we're here, I'll be coming in doing a lot of shouting to the effect that the current way things are need to change and that we'll take troops to torture for any intel. I'll then stun your remaining trooper and we'll leave. Make sure he'll be able to hear. What is you location in the building and confirm you are ready."

"Alpha, I'm the only one standing in the warehouse, wearing a stormtrooper armor. I suggest, you don't instinctively take a shot at me."

"Alpha, this is Remote.  Transport is being arranged and shall be good to fly in as little as three minutes.  We need you and your cargo at the extraction point as soon as may be; timing will need to be precise."  Without pausing she continues, "I have the extraction point at ten to fifteen minutes from the warehouse; you have the coordinates.  Please advise current status and advise when you leave to head to extraction."

"Understood Remote. Troop leader I'm coming in."

"Remote have made contact with Troop leader, that situation is ok. You need to be aware that there are at least three trackers on the speeder which could be problematic. Will let you know when we are moving, which should be shortly. To my companion at the door, get back on the speeder and find those damn things."

"Noted, Alpha.  Troop Leader, you will be required to relinquish your weapons prior to boarding our flight out; I trust you understand our need for security.  Alpha, priority should be given to getting to the extraction point.  Most trackers have a quite limited range.  I doubt the Imperials on this planet can trace a speeder through hyperspace; if they can then I want their tracking equipment."

"I suppose there is little choice for me there. This is a leap of faith for me and I wouldn't mind you people sharing at least part of that flight with me. If I was going to give you up to the Inperials, I would already done so instead of letting you take out my squad, but I will honor your request."

"And if we were not making our own leap of faith Alpha would have greeted you with blaster bolts instead of words," Cor says perfectly calmly.  "Your continued cooperation is appreciated and will be reported in full, unalloyed truth to our commander."
