The gentleman in question is a fairly attractive human male, who looks like he's in his mid-twenties.  He is above average height with an athletic build/  He has brown wavy hair with green eyes and clean shaven.  His clothing consists of a suit with no tie.  He is reading a financial report on a datapad while drinking a cup of caf.  He smiles back at Sheila as she walks past before returning his attention to his datapad.

Heigren is still at the counter talking to a small group of people.  He now has half a dozen people around him as he talks.

Heigren finishes talking to the various patrons and customers and wanders back to the table.  Well? he asks Sheila.

SHeila shrugged and didn't keep her voice down. "i don't know, good looking enough, but at the same time, this is just a vacation, and I'm not all that into" She stopped a moment, trying to think why she was trying not to do this.  She took out her pad, got into the internets, made a throwaway email equivalent account tied to the Janine Carstairs id, memorized it quickly, should only take a moment or two, and got back up.  She went back toward the table with the man sitting at it, sat down accross from him and stuck out her hand.  "Janine Carstairs.  My coworker back there told me you've been checking me out for the last 10 minutes or so.  So anyhow, we have plans for tonight, but if you're interested, I'm available tomorrow or the next few days for dinner or something, we're here on vacation.  If you're not, it's ok, sometimes he reads into things,  I'll go away and you'll have a story about some strange woman trying to pick you up."  She smiled and offered him her 'email'.

The man seems quite taken aback by Sheila's quite overt approach.  He does not take her hand initially, with a cup in one hand, a datapad in the other and his mouth slightly agape, he almost appeared frozen in time.

Composing himself, he put down his cup and pad and tentatively grasped Sheila's hand, then accepted her holomail address.

"Kyle.  Kyle Brannen.  Uh, sorry you caught me by surprise."  The man seems embarrassed, his smile was awkward and his face was slightly flushed, though wether that was from Sheila's approach or being caught 'checking her out' was anyone's guess.

"So you're on vacation?  Where are you from?  Not Det Akari, I can tell from your accent."

She had read her background, and memorised it.  "Corulag, the capital." Fortunately, where she'd grown up.  "Originally anyhow.  Vacation, retreat, actually I am busy tomorrow evening, but around that I'm free."   She shrugged and cocked her head to the side,  "Work or pleasure, which are you here for?"

"Oh definitely work.  Though I must say pleasure is looking more promising.  I'm an account managed for a finance company up on level twenty-six.  I'm just about to have a late lunch."

Seeing Sheila was settled at the other table, Heigren rose.  He popped a quick message to Sheila's datapad saying 'Back in ten.  Tell me if you want me to take longer.'  He then drains his caf and leaves the cafe.

"So you live here?  Makes sense, gotta have people besides tourists.  You lived here long enough to know any good places to go? I've got the tourist pages, but that's all."  She looks at the message on the tablet and nods at Heigren.  Will do, may take a couple min to be sure. back to him on the padd.

Kyle shrugged.  "What do you like to do?"

Janine had to think a few minutes, not only had she not been on vacation in a long time, she had to think about what she would like to do in a nontouristy fashion.  SHopping, going to restaurants and shows was pretty much covered by the tourist pages.  "NOw that I think about it, it's a dumb question.  I don't think I've actually been on a vacation as an adult, and as a kid, my parents were into strictly 'educational and cultural stuff." which basically meant stuff that was good for you, but not interesting.  .  Heaven forbid it might be fun too.  And local, we never really traveled, Dad never actually took off work. Vyn and I are going out for dinner and a show tonight, but he's keeping it a surprise, he was mentioning a factory tour tomorrow, which does look interesting.  We've heard of swoop races, but I think, other than any gambling, we can take or leave those, and I'm not that into gambling."  She shook her head.  "Sorry, that probably sounds stupid in it's turn."

"Sounds like you've got plenty of things planned then.  You hardly need my advice."

She sat up businesslike. Coy wasn't her style anyhow. "You're right, I don't.  Was my coworker reading you correctly, because, like I said, if he wasn't, I'll just go away and you can tell your significant other that a strange woman tried to pick you up and you escaped by mentioning them."

Kyle sighed and looked over at Janine.  "You seem very concerned with what your friend thinks and suggests.  Why don't you tell me what you think? Did you only come over on a dare from your friend?  You suggest you're trying to 'pick me up' but you've spent most of your time telling me what you and your friend have planned and you really have no time for anything else.  Are you just looking for a 'booty call' of some sort?"

"I'll admit, I was admiring you from a distance.  You are certainly attractive, you are in the company of an alien who seems to have the attention of every female in eye shot.  Also you seem to exude confidence many people don't.  I thought it would be nice to get to know you, though I assumed that alien was your boyfriend.  I wasn't after a cheap one-nighter or anything.  Not my kind of thing."

"Now if you want to get to know each other in the brief time you're on vacation I'm all for that.  However if your dance card is full for this trip then I really shouldn't be wasting your time."

There is no hint of anymosity in his tone, just a gentle calmness.  He seems entirely sincere in his words.

"We're on the first day of vacation, I haven't planned anything beyond today, maybe tomorrow, and a work meeting tomorrow evening.  I've got 2 weeks otherwise.  And it wasn't a dare.  It was a 'why not?' more than anything, since I'm apparently too dense to actually catch  you without the assistance of the people with me. I don't like walking around a new place alone, and we were interested in doing the same thing today while the rest of the group wanted to go see races. "  She wrinkled her nose a little at the memory of the bugs in the teeth comment.  "Not that I don't like vehicles, I'm just not into racing."

She leaned back a little in the seat.  "So, Mr Kyle Brannen, since we've determined that neither of us are attached nor looking for one night stands, I guess the question might be where I might find you the day after tomorrow if we were interested in anything else.   I'm presuming you are working tomorrow during the day and wouldn't be available.  I wouldn't want to interfere with that, since you have to live here after I leave." 

Kyle quickly writes down a comm code and holomail address.  "Either of these is fine.  Just let me know when you're free and we'll see what we can do.  Of course if you decide what things you enjoy I wont have to just suprise you.  So far all I know is you don't like gambling or one night stands!"

Janine adds the addresses to her padd.  "Well, it was nice to meet you, Mr Brannen, I'll let you finish eating and go back to work."  Then she'll make sure the caf was paid for and send a note to Vyn.  "Done."

It took a good ten minutes for Heigren to respond via commlink.  "You're finished with him already?  I expected you to be a lot longer than that!"

Sheila snorted.  "Vyn,  I've got a theoretical date day after tomorrow, he works, he's on his lunchbreak.  You know how long it's been since i've tried to pick up a guy? Name of Kyle Brannon."  She's going to 'google' both him and herself before the date.

"Always room for a little fun during the work day."  A little snort can be heard across the comm, like someone was stifling a giggle.

"So I'm going to be a little while.  I thought you'd be longer.  You want to catch up later or wait for me?  You could even check what the others are doing."

In reply to Heigren (msg # 76):

"Give me a call when you're done." .Ooc what time is it in this thread compAred to the claws district one?

Sheila will then place a call to kimy,   If Kimy answers her beep, she will ask  "did you guys find a race?"   She;s trying to be unobtrusive, if kimy is actually racing, she wouldn't expect an answer.

Kimy takes the comm quickly.  "Yeah, we found a race.  It's gonna start in a few minutes though, so we'll probably all ignore comms for a while.  I'll call when it's over."

Sheila will catch a taxi out to the claws district and the racing aread.  Doesn't look all that healthy, but she keeps a close hand on her credits, padd and id,   The gm will let us know when she gets there.

Just as she climbs into the taxi, Sheila sends a good luck to all four of the racing group (she'd paid attention as to which. Of the others had run off together.)
