Mika shrugs.  "I have something.  I'm not sure who Vyn has recommended, but I ran across a Bothan woman that I'm thinking of recommending.  If she interested in the job and willing to come along to home base for an interview, what sort of salary are we authorized to offer?"

"I can't say much."  Mark said in response to Cor's question.  "I haven't been fully briefed.  I do know that several large companies, including my former employer are meeting to discuss this.  This certainly has the potential to span the explored galaxy."

To Arin's question he shook his head.  "Leadership issues have not been discussed, nor will they be until we get back to base.  Until then you all have an equal say on decisions.  Use a simple majority to make decisions as there are seven of you.  CC9 and A9's commentary should be strongly considered but I'm not giving them a vote at this point.  Their role in the command structure needs to be sorted out when we all return to base."

He looks to Zyra.  "Can you answer Kimy's questions?"

Zyra nodded to Mika.  "Vyn mentioned three people.  One was a Kel Dor named Dohr Veen.  Then there was a Bothan and a Cathar.  Apparently you and Forim met the latter two and can better speak to their skill."

"As for funds, we can offer a joining fee of five thousand credits apiece.  If they need transport paperwork, I have left a supply on board the ship.  As for salary, they'll get the same as everyone else.  A standard two percent share of all profits."

"Question them, test them.  Decide if you all think they have the skills and temperament to join us.  If you think they're suitable, transport them with you back to home base, but don't let the know where they're going in case things don't work out."

Arin nodded on the subject of command. It was best that way. But when it came to the prospective new members, he was quick to volunteer. "I'll take the Kel Dor for a chat and see what I can figure out. With no disrespect to our own medical staff, I understood he is a fully qualified physician and I think that would be reason enough." He shot a friendly smile at Sheila.

A9, CC9 and Cor are all quiet.  Perhaps they're considering what has been said.  Who knows?  Droids don't offer much in the way of body language and an Umbaran that isn't even physically present offers much less.

Mika considers, "It'd probably be best if some one else take the Bothan and the Cathar, least ways if they're the pair I'm thinking about.  If so, Frim and  met them last night.  I don't know what skills the Cathar has though, she just seemed angry to me."

Mark waved his hand in a ceasing gesture.  "The interviewing of potential recruits is for you to all discuss as a group when we're gone.  We're being picked up in a few hours so we don't have much time to talk.  Just need to be sure you're happy with your instructions, namely check out the potential new recruits and meet with this supplier.  Otherwise the two weeks are still your own to enjoy as you will."

Any funds you need to spend on recruitment fees or purchase of equipment from this fixer will be reimbursed when we meet back in two weeks.  I expect we will beat you back there but at worst case we should only be a day or two after you.  I'm sure you'll have plenty to do to keep yourselves occupied."

"Now, are their any questions for Sarah or myself?  As I said we have to go soon."

Heigren remained silent.  'Stay here and enjoy yourself.  Oh and here's a hundred thousand credits to do it with.'  What needed to be said?  These were orders he'd happily obey.

"No further questions," Cor confirms via A9.  "I suggest that the team reassemble either in the hotel or the hangar to discuss the potential recruits and other matters more freely.  And good luck to you both on your trip.  Those talks could change the Galaxy."

"About time." mumbled Flash.  "Hostile takeovers are why I got into this business in the first place.  Want me to come with you as personal security?"

"No."  Mark replied to Flash's offer.  "Our orders were specific.  Only Sarah and I can go.  There will be plenty of security where we're going.  This is all being kept tightly under wraps so our competitors don't find out."

Devon whistled in disbelief, first at the size of the payout and then again at the news Mark had given them.

"This could be... wow." he said  "I gotta wonder though if even with a corporate merger, will we have the kind of clout needed to put a dent in the competition?" it was a rhetorical question - and Devon didnt really expect anyone to be able to answer.

"So whilst you guys go check the contracts, we're staying here with lots of credits burning holes in our pockets?"  The shipjacker managed a grin, despite the news they'd just received. "I'm sure we'll find a way to manage."

Zyra checked her chrono, gestured to Mark and stood.  "Well we need to get moving.  Have to pack and get ready for pickup.  Enjoy your holiday and see you all in 2 weeks.  We should be in comms range for about three more hours."

She gets up, waits for the Commander then heads out the door.

Mark follows Zyra out the door.

After the two walk out, Mika let's loose a breath she's been holding.  "You think there's any chance they won't make it back to base?"

Flash shrugged.  "It's possible.  Of course it's possible they'll get hit by a speeder walking out the door or die from food poisoning.  Sounds like they'll be at a meeting with a lot of security."

He looked around.  "Should we discuss all this now?  Maybe head back to the hangar so Sola can join us?  Then we can work out how we want to play this."

Mika looks around the place.  She's already eaten a solid meal and it looks like others are likely done.  "I'm thinking the hanger.  Not only can Sola join in, but maybe we can speak a bit more freely without worrying about any prying ears."

For Mika, she had to go back to the hanger anyway.  That way, she could collect her tools, maybe test drive the swoop....

"Hangar's as good as anywhere.  Hotel staff will need a few hours to clean up anyway."

"I look forward to it," Cor says, perhaps a little curtly.  "CC9, A9, return to base."

"By your command."

The two droids turn and head out immediately.

"Well, off we go then", Arin said, having finished his breakfast. "We've got a few days, plenty of credits and good chances to spend them on things."

Heigren speaks on his comm for a moment then turns to the others.  "So we're regrouping at the spaceport?  I've called a taxi to pick us up."

He finishes his last drink and heads out to catch the taxi.

"Sure", Arin said to Heigren, walking with him towards the door. "You wouldn't happen to have the contact information of that Kel Dorian doctor from the party, would you? I was thinking, he might indeed be a good addition to our team."

"This man thinks of everything." says Devon as he follows Heigren to the door.

Whilst they wait for the taxi, Devon looks round.
"So anyone got any ideas on what to spend their money on?  Me, I might buy a ship.  Kinda like the Firespray 31s..." Devon turned to Heigren.
"I wouldnt be surprised if you threw another party... but do me a favour?  not too many parties - I don't think Forim would live through the experience."

Devon treated the suffering Duros to a large, obnoxious grin as they all got into the taxi.

Heigren nodded in response to Arin's question.  "Got info on all three.  But let's discuss it when we get to the ship."
