I saw that one too. I wish it was lower level because it would be more fitting. I'm not a huge fan of starting higher level and was hoping to only do this one at 9th.

Granted, I wish our Eberron mercenaries one would get the hell going. I like our characters there.

I'm still figuring out my shit. Min/maxing a 9th lvl PC takes a bit longer.

If anyone else would like to jump into the arena, feel free. Its just Katan and Andredi Mizzrym  right now. Are we joining the airship game? Latahz.

I think I will play a human psion gestalted with dread pirate. What class are you thinking of? I am a little busy at work. I will post in the arena soon. The ring of blades is a nice trick. I am wondering if using a reach weapon would be better than a true melee weapon? What do you guys think? If I used a reach weapon, it would be a scorpion chain. Is that munchkin?

I created a new sign called bambolou just so I could play the game as a player and not a GM. So the new guy called bambolou is me using the same Katan character.

Katan, you can draw your katana with your move if you have a +1 BAB, that would give you something else to do with your standard action. Double move maybe?

Ok but I am waiting for him to come to me. I also want that ring of blades spell to dissipatate. Scotty made me think about changing my main weapon to a scorpion chain for situations like this where I cannot get to the enemy. The scorpion chain with me being large would give me a 20ft reach. What do you think?

Dude you want me to come to you? Lets think about this. My character specialises in range attack spells. Kind of like an Archer but using spells. Besides I can stay where I am and hit you with lightning bolts all day! :P But funnily enough I am moving towards you now. By the way dude The ring of blades spell is 1 Minute per level. I have like 80 something rounds left. You aren't gonna be alive long enough for the spell duration to run out.

I'm just saying. Believe me when I say that I know what you are saying, and the epic version of Katan was built to circumvent ranged attacks but not at lvl 9. Scotty what do you think about Katan using a scorpion chain?

Maybe as a secondary weapon? Keep your Katana but have the chain as a secondary weapon.

Whats the reasoning? The Katan concept was built arround him having a reputation for one weapon.

Ok I didn't know that. But most people keep a secondary weapon just in case. If you use piercing weapons and end up fighting skeletons for example.

True. That was a hit I had decided to take when I created the character. He was made for a specific purpose. All-round would have been nice but....

That airship game seems cool.

The higher level thing works for RPOl because it takes forever to level wi this type of gameplay.
