I think I'd be happiest with 3.5.

I think Other Steve is on vacation for a week or two.

In reply to Ramor ibn Adnan (msg #985):

Hey guys

Hope you're all well.

I'm just back from vacation and would be up for a game with you all. I've not played 4e so would prefer to stick with 3.5 if its on :-)

Re: Memories. . .
I've tried a little 4e here on Rpol

http://rpol.hyphenit.com.au/game.cgi?gi=43862

It's a fun game the rules seems to apply well to combat but not to much else.

How are we going to find a new GM?

Hi all, I haven't been doing much here on Rpol for a year. Reviving a few games and thought I'd say hi.

Hi George, have you tried 5e yet? Just took a look at the free version. Not sure if it's worth the investment of the time to read it all but looks like a fair enough game if someone was running one.

Re: Memories. . .
Wow!  I haven't logged in here for months but I see that most of us have the Guardians on the sticky list!  Nice!

Haven't done any RP for so long now, 3.5e was the last time and I cant even remember which RPOL game it was.  I never got into any RP system after that, not even my beloved DnD.  When I have some free time these days, I've been into playing board games and expanded my collection with games like Carcassonne, Citadels and most recently my new favourite - Descent 2: Journeys in the Dark.

So how's everyone else doing?  All well I hope?

Hi Steve!
Still around. Gave up on 3.x edition and now I'm fully Pathfinder (which has roots from 3.x) Things are going well for me. Just got back from vacation with my family. The wife and 2 kids and my sister-in-law :)

It was all good :)

Re: Memories. . .
Hi Steve and George,

I've not stopped lingering here. Still running the same Star Wars game. Never really got into Pathfinder although I have played in a few games and recently begun playing a solo one here on Rpol. Read 4e and 5e but didn't really try either although 5e looked good, don't get much time on here and never really play face to face either, if I did I'd probably want to give it a shot. Also there's probably loads of better games and interesting things to try if I had the time.

My biggest pastime at the moment is Roller Derby, I do still LARP although that's only once or twice a month at most.

Re: Memories. . .
Awesome to hear from you guys!  Listen to me with the "awesome's" - only been in the US for 4 years and already I'm typing like an American!  Soon I'll be with the "y'alls" and then its a slippery slope to "howdy"!  Haha!

Life is treating me and the family well in TX. Had a rough few months in my last job but thankfully moved to a new company here in Houston working with nice people and involves some travel across the US.  Now I get to visit places like Albany NY, Seattle, Pensacola and many more besides!  It's also much appreciated that I get to earn and keep the air miles as it paid for my family flights to Disney World this year :)

I remember George that you had made the move to Pathfinder a while back now and you must be enjoying it still!  Similarly I recall that Steve started up some Star Wars and its cool to hear you're still running that.  I have never tried either but perhaps I should dip a toe into something new.

I just looked back at the start of the Guardians game and I cant believe it'll be about 10 years ago during the upcoming new year that the game site was set-up!  I have no idea where that time went!

Re: Memories. . .
Glad to hear all is well with everyone!

Life has certainly been fun. I remembered recently my firstborn coming into the world during this game here. My fourth just turned 1 this week. No time for RPG's these days, but I'd earnestly love to give a flexible game a try.

Until next time, gents! I'll check in again sometime soon.

Re: Memories. . .
Good to hear from you. Yes everything different now than it was back when this game started. In 2006 it was one of the first games I'd tried here on Rpol. Then my youngest was only one year old, now heading to high school in a few months time. Both boys playing their own D&D games now and I'm taking them to LARP at Empire at the end of July. I don't do much on here anymore although weekly check in and keep my own game running. My roller derby has continued. Skating for the East Anglo Smacksons although we aren't a competitive team yet, planning to compete in 2017 however for myself age may prevent doing it for much longer.

Re: Memories. . .
Well I thought I would just check in here for some reason and its nice to see a couple posts in the Guardians OOC :-)

Life is still as fast paced as ever for me and I find myself as I write this wondering what happened to 2016 (less than 2 months till xmas - seriously?!) I started a new program at work which has me traveling from Houston up to Chicago on a regular basis these days, likely switching to Milwaukee for the first half of 2017. Really looking forward to the next few months and all the travel chaos caused by freezing temps - not!

I've still not back into any roleplaying although if I'm being honest, I can't think of a reason why not. Maybe it's because my old RP materials are packed away in some random boxes, still unopened since I moved to the US in 2011!  Oops!  So for my gaming needs, I still try to board game when I can but my last gaming group kinda disbanded so I need to find a new one.  Meantime, I dabble with RP and strategy games on iOS when I get some downtime.

I'm not on Facebook but If anyone's interested in keeping in touch a little more regularly than the off chance of an annual RPOL login, you can find me on Twitter as @stevebrown215 or on electronic mail

Take care and hope to hear from you guys soon.

Steve

Glad to see folks here. I've been gone for two years. I had a self-imposed exile while I finished up my two year graduate program. Graduation is next week!

Hope everybody is doing well.
