New OOC thread.

Thanks all.  Yup, we are all good.  Still a lot of sticks and branches in the back yard, and I have a bit of roofing to do over Thanksgiving, but I also got my Ogre game this week from Steve Jackson Games Kickstarter!

Holy cow!  That bad boy is awesome.

My 12 and 13 year old are already planning on strategies to beat old dad, and they have never even played it before!

OGRE.... I played a whole bunch of that game back in the day.  I even hand whittled my own tank-markers for the battlemat.


Right up there with Car Wars.

That was the parody game, right?  Had an angry letter from a fan who felt he got gyped.

... was he actually expecting a real turkey to be included in the game? Crazy.

I think it was a plant, actually.  Somethig that one of the goofy creators put in.

I will take a photo of the game and post it this weekend.  Kids really liked it.  Of course they beat dad, so that helped!

I believe the Ogres in the game came from Bolo.  The book is good mind candy.

Bolos.  Resartus and Nike.  Liked them a lot.

Suffering constant ongoing intermittent internet outage.  Trying to work through it with provider.  Hopefully I can post tomorrow, sorry to have slowed things down.  Move Elderon as needed WG.

Just as an FYI.  My intermittent internet outage issues are ongoing.  My work has backlogged as a result so I'm sorry to say I might be light on posting or completely absent at random intervals until it is resolved.
