Ratik, How does it end?

OK....

Ratik crew.

So, how does it end?

I have several thoughts, but I'd like to hear yours.  Please post them in this thread.

A wrap up looking 10-20 years down the line posted by each of you or me, as in a hollywood credits ending?

One giant blowout post as a summary?

All of you send me flowers?

Ratik, How does it end?

...or we keep playing...

When I think of the possible new adventures the mind is boggled.

There are aspis in the forest that have a problem we've not yet addressed. Calen just got his new vine tattoos and Kiley's not reunited with her beau yet.

I am having separation anxiety.

The forest problem will interest the majority of us I am sure, and Elderon is way overdue some major character development work.

Question is, are you wanting to push the chair back and switch the laptop off early, or are you okay to keep going as project manager?

A Surea type development to be interwoven in times of need would probably last many, many more years.

If there is a way to keep going, I'd certainly like to.

Auto has much more gold to gather, and perhaps young half dragons to help raise.

Plus I have to track my violet eyed lady down too. So many shenanigans!!!!

A delve into the outer planes seems possible for this group.  That would, of course, require a ton of work by our esteemed DM...but I'm with the others that this doesn't seem quite the place to find closure.

Hope we can continue on...

I would also like to

I understand if you do not want to continue the game but I think without a doubt there is a unanimous consensus that we would be eager and willing to continue.

If we need to 'putter around' for a while to get the next chapter going, no problemo...  As Kiley pointed out, there are the bugs in the forst, returning to the green slime inhabited fortress and returning it to usefulness, a sweep in Bone March to put down the remaining dogs, a quest to 'make up' with the metallic dragons since we helped out the evil ones so much...

If the issue is the level of power that we have attained, I would be ok with a deus ex machina to hobble us.  (Not my first choice, but I could live with it.)

Travel into the world of the drow (1st edition drow...) would be a challenge as well as many other avenues...

BTW, if you sucked as a DM we would not try so hard to keep it alive....

Just sayin'.

Does Amethyst count as a metallic dragon? :)

How about the fortune we left at the dwarven mine?  I'd kind of like to retrieve some of that, Elderon had a dragons tail wrapped around his neck.

I remember some crates of something that looked like dragon eggs stuck in a cave on a mountaintop, transported there by Tiamat as a job for Icy. And didn't he promise to serve for ten dragon-years with somebody or other?

Lots of stuff to do...

Ratik, How does it end?

Indeed there are several threads that could be picked up:

1.  Dwarfish stronghold and the hearthstone.
2.  Auto (among others) with the Crystal Court of the Dragons.  (ps:  Amethyst is a gem-dragon. )
3.  The Bloodgrove... is undeniably a problem and perhaps spreading.
4.  The Bone March and the gnolls.... though this is strictly a low-level thing now that the priesthood of the Grasping Claw is effectively had its fangs pulled.
5.  Calen is beholden to Obad-Hai... what does that mean, exactly?
 - the corollary here is that a couple of the PCs are beholden to outside interests that may now be competing (or at least not
cooperating).   As an example:  repopulating the treants and dragons.... and reigning in the humans a bit.
6. The overwhelming power of the magical items you all have pick up is going to inspire some to take advantage of you... or at least take them away.  Plus, you've now become more than bit players in the World.... who knows what attention you might garner?

7.  And the metallic dragons.... yes, they know.

Some of those story leads would be of importance to Elderon, but others not so much so.

Only a few of those items (I think) are of common interest to all of us.

I think securing the powerful magic items, or re-purposing them to better fit individual's is initially of collective though individual importance, and the Dwarven Stronghold 'lost' treasure, is of higher importance to some of us than others, though there is possibly less conflict between us in regards to its retrieval.

Others opinions?

I have had several worthy suggestions.

I'll work them into the dinner/audience with Lord Pol coming up over the next few days.

The companions would be in serious need of rest/relaxation/personal study/training for at least a month of game time.  Might work that into a situation where the PCs manage their new fortunes and their magics.  There's likely going to be a summons by the Arch-Baroness Evaleigh.

Curious as to the location of the crates of musical instruments, the bars of metal and the plates of gems we earned while away on adventure...

The ranger would find exploring the woods for the insect-people very relaxing.  Along with locating the centaurs again.  (I have an archery match to redeem....)

Would be a great short story line to explore in the month of R&R.
