Obviously I'm rather new here though I'm not new to role playing games. I first played in the 1980's when the first rpg's came along like AD&D, Traveler, Gamma World, Rune Quest and my beloved Call of Cthulhu. I still have my first edition rule book somewhere!

Then life kind of got in the way, as it tends to do with the fun things in life. I kind of dipped back into gaming in the mid 90's but wasn't able to keep it up. I really don't know what to expect on this site. I want to reconnect with a hobby I loved I suppose. I have more time on my hands these days.

Anyway, again, hello!

Welcome to RpoL, one of the best PbP websites around.

With a friendly community and loads of games to participate in of all kinds of systems, thou should never be bored.

It's always best to check out the FAQs on this site, located directly in the upper right hand corner if you have specific questions about specific things on this site. The Help option also works in same manner.

On the Main Menu, it's always best to check out the Wanted - Players thread to see if any games spark your interest. From what I've noticed, there are tons of games from free-form to Sandbox to Pathfinder to D&D5e gaming systems. Iím sure youíll find something that sparks your interest and meets your needs.

Or perhaps you have a game idea and donít want to run it and want to look for a GM to run it instead? Then youíll want to head to Wanted - GMs; perhaps youíll want to GM someone elseís idea too. Who knows!

Wanna join idle conversation? The Community Chat thread from the main menu is the best place to engage in interesting conversations from the community.

We as a whole are always willing to help out to newly registered users so don't be afraid to reach out.

You'll find your calling soon on this site.

In reply to Pallidmask (msg # 1):

Welcome to RPoL!

We've chewed a lot of the same ground, it would seem:  Traveller is my main thing, but I did my share of D&D, AD&D, and Arduin Grimoire back in the day.

You'll find lots to do here, and White Comic has already pointed you in some good directions.  You might also look on the Main Menu page at the bottom and try the search engine.  That's a great way to sift through games by genre, system, and other categories to find what you want.

I hope you will consider running a game here once you get used to how things work.

If you need help, just ask.
