Hello all, just like it says on the header I have been playing RPG's for longer than I care to admit and GM ing for most of that time. Although due to family commitments my gaming life has been a bit sparse for the last decade or so.

I am a lifelong science fiction fan and slightly obsessive reader. My preferred genres are science fiction and low fantasy.

Most of my recent player experience and all of my GM ing has been with GURPS (and I would consider it my preferred system) although I have played or run D&D 2e/3e/3.5e, various incarnations of Traveller, and various old world of darkness games amongst others in the past.

I've definitely found the PbP format handy for GMing GURPS. It makes the bookkeeping parts of it much easier.

everything you need, is on the page that you would currently be on. for games you run or play in..PMs   color for  'speech' Private lines  in threads, Dice roller..CS can be accessed. Depending on your DM/GM   the payer can edit the  CS or not.

on the lower part of the main page is a  search engine, that is  customizable, for you to find games...the players wanted thread  does the same as GMs  are permitted to  bump thier ads oce  every 7 days

enjoy yourself, and  if you have questions, ask in the forums, if a Mod doesn't answer right away, there is a good  bet a player will.

By the way is there a standard style for posting character actions or is it the GM's call?

Its your game, right? You run it, you have flks post how you want.

I have  OOC threads so no one  brings OOC into IC threads and ruins the 'feel"

most  GMs  have players use  color for 'speech"  Like this. some GMs  get  anal abouth which color to use? It doesn't matter, because no one can  post in the excact same post as the   same time. If yoiu hav 5 players  using red for speech?   it doesn't matter, because   their post will be speerate.

 I have  people PM  me Dice  rolls, and keep them out of   IC threads, sinc ei want threads to be more 'story".
