Re: The Sprawl Delve #3

"We do not believe giving your ears and eyes to this creature be productive", Zee chimes in. It quickly looks at a cheery robot, "Would it be willing to cojoin our consciousnesses together? More processing power will be most pleasing to us!"

Crinkles looks at the robot but says nothing. The way the creature speaks made the yeti's head hurt but that was probably because the robot was smarter than him.

The robot gives ZE-5 a long look, then turns back to Bedlam.

"Well here's our offer. We understand there were some tunnels under the Soup Kitchen. If you know the way in, and can guide one of our salesmen there, we will give you free credit for one piece of tech"

He takes another long look at ZE-5. "And if you want to sell your very interesting multi-bot we, well, we would prepared to provide more than adequate recompense"

Zee beeps at other robot. Its irises turn red, "Any attempt at selling, dismembering, or any other actions of violent nature will be returned in favor". Zee waits a moment as its irises turn blue, "If that was a joke... Tssk...hsssk HA...haHA HAahahAHhahhhahAHha!. Our apologies... humor software takes awhile to initiate". With that said robot resumes its unassuming posture.

Bedlam cocks an eyebrow as ZE-5 works their way through their response, before turning back to the negotiation bot.

"Yeah, can't really say I thought of them as property."

"So an escort to the Soup Kitchen's tunnel entrance?" the giant looks around at the crew, getting a feel for their reaction.

"We can do that," he nods. "Will you want us to wait for the return trip as well?"

Thunderbird snickered. "Careful there ZE, with what you said, we could give you away since that is not a form of "...selling, dismembering, or any other actions of (a) violent nature.." as you stated." he said. "As for the tunnel, I will have to differ to Bedlam Jones, Crusty Tom and Crinkles since I came in after they took care of the Cook. But I would suggest that the group retain anything on the surface like the metal thing that was part of the Cooks defenses unless the group had already promised it to someone else." he says

In reply to Thunderbird (msg # 48):

"Avian friend, one's freedom cannot be given without one's consent. We were shackled once, never again we shall allow for this happen to us again", Zee says staring into the distance and shifting uncomfortably. "We wish we could fly. If it is not an ultimate representation of freedom, than we do not know what is...", the machine adds quietly a moment later.

Her wide eyes watched the exchange between the adults and this robot thing. Glancing to the leader, she smiled at him, "So back to the toll collectors and pay some more to them so we can get thru again?."

Crinkles nods his head, "Crinkles thinks that was beautiful, computer friend." He wipes his eye quickly. "So we go back to kitchen?"

Bedlam glances around at the crew. ~Anybody looking to do some trading? Now is the time.~

OOC: I don't think we have much in the way of tech trade right now, but feel free to jump in if you want to.

Bedlam gives the robot a broad grin.

"I think that's all for now. We'll be outside."

And he goes out to await the Restorationist representative.

Ophelia was starting to get a bit twitchy, she wasn't keen on being in the room for so long, she preferred the sky over her head.

She kept quiet but hoped the rest would conclude their business soon so she could get out of there.

Re: The Sprawl Delve #3

You file outside and after a short wait are joined by the representative. He is dressed in some sort of full-body suit, complete with a black-visored helmet that completely conceals his face. Several high-tech weapons and pieces of kit hang from combat webbing, and he carries a large backpack.

"I'm Wilbur" he says shortly, his voice distorted by the helmet. "Shall we?"

Again, those who will be on guard please make your perception rolls for the journey.

Bedlam nods to the crew and folds up the map when the Restorationist appears. He gives the 'man' a long look before breaking into a broad grin.

"Welcome, Wilbur! I'm Bedlam. That's Rose, Crinkles, Ophelia, Thunderbird, and, of course, Zeefive," he says, pointing to each member of the crew.

"Safest spot is probably in front of me, between the carts," the giant continues as he grasps the handles of the small, two-wheeled cart he has been pulling.

~Stay sharp~ his thoughts reach Ophelia and Thunderbird as they move out.

The party make good progress, with the map showing a route made up of back alleys and storm drains avoiding some of the of more travelled routes. The party is approaching a narrow alley when Thunderbird spots the distinctive black and white stripes of a dozen badders lurking on the rooftops on either side of the alley...

Everyone roll Init, will post the combat map shortly.
