Mia, Ayesha, and Adamar vs Black dragon

There is a force ceiling 30' up (transparent). Ambient (daylight) illumination.
The river is 10' deep (I made it deeper) in the middle and sloping up to 5' at the edges. It flows from SW to NE at a speed of 10'/round.
The ground is dirt and/or sand down to 10' where it is sealed off by another wall of force.
The stone structures are 15' high and made of stonemasonry (DC 20 climb check). The stone has hardness 8, 90 HP (per 10'x10' section) and the Break DC is 35.

The bridges are wooden (hardness 5, 60 HP, Break DC 20).
The team starts in green, the dragon in red. Go!

Re: Mia, Ayesha, and Adamar vs Black dragon

For this most special — and indeed, most non-permanent — of occasions, Ayesha decided to break out her very special, extra-potent, high-proof bottle of jhuild, Rashemi firewine, received from her mentor in the drunken arts, Thaddeus.

She'd been sipping her shot of the potent dark-red brew for the last minute, and had pretty much been belted in the head by a Rashemi berserker each time. It was starting to have an effect. 'Go for the eyes, Boo, GO FOR THE EYES!! RrraaaAAGHGHH!!!'

She pulled another phial and sloshed it over her hands, feet, and forehead. Then she pulled the black silk cat mask crookedly into place. 'Fear not! I will inspire you all by charging blindly on!'

22:09, Today: Ayesha Jamarthe rolled 6 using 1d20+3. init.

Prep Rounds 1 & 2:
[Move] Use oil of magic weapon on fists
[Move] Drink a shot of jhuild 10 rounds ago
[Free] Invoke Drink Like a Demon
[Free] Apply Dodge feat to dragon

Status:
  Initiative: 6
  AC (Touch AC): 19 (18)

  Damage Taken:   0
  Damage Dealt:   0

Effects:
  Firewine: +2 Strength, −1 Wisdom
Drink Like a Demon: +2 Strength, −2 Wisdom & Intelligence
Cumulative: +4 Strength, −3 Wisdom (inc. in AC), −2 Intelligence
Magic weapon: unarmed attacks enchanted, +1 attack and damage
Dodge: +1 dodge AC vs Dragon, included above.

OOC: Jhuild/Rashemi firewine takes a minute to take effect, which is why I've had a hard time using it before. Is it okay to assume it's active now? Also, I have a few shots to go around... :)

Adamar immediately began casting as soon as he materialized in the arena. The elf lightly tapped Ayesha on the shoulder and transferred a bit of protection magic to the already unsteady woman. Once done he said a quick enchantment and almost began vibrating with movement and excitement as his daggers almost seemed to jump into his hand.
"Ooooo, thisisgoingtobefun!" the now magically sped up Beguiler said, his voice coming out in a somewhat high pitched frenetic pace.
"Mindthecausticbreath!"

Miarisha materialized and drew a gnarly stick from her belt and asked the spirits for their blessing, soon she felt the gift coursing through her veins. After stowing it she cast a spell that the spirits of nature had taught her., it would be protecting her from the acidic spittle the dragon was known for.

Eventually she felt prepared and called her bow into her hands, knocking an arrow in one fluid guesture.

No, Tourouk won't be fighting in the dwarven halls, so he isn't with us here either.

Oh well, I was convinced to ride Tourouk to battle. Will update my post with his details later. Both spells are shared with him.

As Mia and her bird took to the air the elf pulled the hood up on his bald pate and touched the monk's shoulder with a sly grin.

Re: Mia, Ayesha, and Adamar vs Black dragon

OOC: Where did the Darkness come from?

'Where am I?' Ayesha wondered as she suddenly vanished. No matter, she peered around the wall and saw the dragon breathe its horrible acid at Mia and Tourouk; she hoped her protection held. She wanted to leap up and grab the dragon, but it was still too high. She need to get higher. Time to climb.

There's only so much you can learn in one place.
The more that I wait, the more time that I waste.

I haven't got much time to waste.
It's time to make my way.
I'm not afraid of what I'll face.
But I'm afraid to stay.
I'm going down my road and I can make it alone
I'll work and I'll fight till I find a place of my own.

Unseen, she sprinted across the arena under Tourouk and the dragon, not for them but for the next big stone block nearby. The nimble monk leaped off the ground, put her sandal to the corner, then propelled herself even higher. She slapped a hand on the top of the block, then hauled herself up on strong arms, scrambling up the rest of the way. Finally, she dashed to the far end of the wall.

Are you ready to jump?
Get ready to jump.
Don't ever look back oh baby.
Yes, I'm ready to jump.
Just take my hand.
Get ready to jump.

Jump 28, clears 7 ft + 8 ft vert reach for 15 feet, clears height of block.
Grab top of stone block, pull self up. I assume once I grab the top, I have an adequate handhold. Climb 16.
         Keep moving to K23
That should be ~90 ft covered in total.

Re: Mia, Ayesha, and Adamar vs Black dragon

Miarisha heard the swishing of wings then the hiss of acid as it splashed her shoulder. Acrid smell came to her nostrils and then she realized the pain. Her bow swiftly found his target and she released the arrow she had knocked when they took off into the air.

Fortunately Tourouk managed to dodge the brunt of the stream and the magic protected him from harm. The dire eagle set off to attack the dragon as his catfolk rider unleashed a barrage at the scaled menace. Tourouk raked a claw accross the dragon's hide before veering off and robbing the enemy of the oportunity to retaliate.

OOC: The dragon is under an effect of concealment, thus allowing for a 20% miss chance. I've rolled for your attacks and Tourouk, and only the eagle misses. The dragon is unaffected by the darkness.

The dragon, while smaller than the eagle, lashes out at Miarisha as the giant bird sweeps by.
