Lord of the Rings

Hey all, I've been running a LoTR campaign for about 3 months now, and it's going great. We are at a juncture in the adventure where it is a good time for a new PC.

The PC's are all at veteran rank, so you'd be starting at veteran. We are about to move into the next module, which is gonna be epic as hell.

Check out the game and see what you think. We are a very loose, laid-back group. Combat is also really free-form, with a kind of post-based initiative. I have the player's roll up their own characters and then post em.

Anyway, if you're interested, gimme a shout.

Re: Lord of the Rings

I'm looking for a few more players to join my Solomon Kane game.  I had a big group at the beginning and most people dropped out because they didn't have time to play.  The game isn't too far into it, so it would be an easy time to introduce new characters.

Savage RIFTS

Hello again. I've decided to fire up a RIFTS game ala SW. I run a LoTR game if you want to get an idea about me.

link to "Lord of the Rings Savage Worlds"

And here is the RIFTS game:

I am looking for 2-4 people who know both SW and RIFTS. SW experience is highly preferred, whereas RIFTS experience isn't as much.

Savage DnDish fantasy

We're almost through with the first bit, have had a few players drop out, so room for a few more.  You can take over an existng character or start a new one.

A number of games I was in died recently (the GM had that cursed Real Life rear up), and was wondering first if there were any games out there with openeings, and second if anyone was thinking of running one?

Once things settle down for me this summer, should be in a few weeks, I'm contemplating starting a Pirates of the Aether Sky game. Think POTSM inspired by Disney's Treasure Planet.

I've been considering running a Shaintar game, but don't have a real firm grip on the setting yet. I'm sure I could swing it by starting slow though if there is interest.

Re: Savage DnDish fantasy

I'm already in a Shaintar game, but I can say it is a wonderful setting.  If you enjoy high fantasy, it is absolutely a must-have setting (and worth having even if you prefer a more S&S style game).

Good luck with your game!

Re: Savage DnDish fantasy

All:

I'm relatively new to the site, and to online roleplaying in general.  I'm not a novice roleplayer by any stretch of the imagination.  I've got 20+ years of face to face gaming experience.

I'm new to Savage Worlds, but I'm excited to try it out as a GM.  I especially like what looks like the fast playstyle and low prep time.

I'd like to run a solo(ish) game, probably playing an agent in James Bond's MI6 - potentially a newly minted 00.

Is there interest in this game?

Since I'm new to this discussion group, I'm not totally sure if this is the right area for this post.  If it's not, let me know, and I'll gladly move it.

Re: Savage DnDish fantasy

In theory, this is where you put a game idea that is ready to go, the Game Ideas? thread is where you discuss them before finalizing them.  but I doubt anyone cares that much

Savage RIFTS

We have room for a new player if anyone wants to join. I ask for solid RP'ing and frequent activity. This is also a very mature game setting.

Gimme a shout.

Re: Savage RIFTS

So, I got no interest on James Bond.  Instead, I've taken up the challenge of running a Sundered Skies campaign.

link to another game

It's called (unoriginally enough) Sundered Skies [SavW] and is classified as a Fantasy game.

It's flagged for mature content.

Here's a quick advert for it:

The Lookfar sails in the shadows cast by the giant powers in the Glow filled Skies between the land.  Her captain and crew eke out a living on the margins, with a reputation as folk who will take on any job - especially those requiring discretion and, shall we say, lack of Trade Council attention.  They've been called mercenaries, smugglers, thieves and worse.  You're one of the crew.

The truth is, Captain Krellborn and his crew aren't heroes - but neither are they a wretched hive of scum and villainy.  Sure, they take on the occasional smuggling job, off the books courier work, and very rarely they do some stealing (but only from those that richly deserve it) - but mostly they are a collection of adventurers seeking success without oppression and freedom from the powerful Trade Council.

This is a Savage Worlds campaign set in the Sundered Skies setting.  Newbies to both the world and the system are welcome.  All characters are playing crewmembers of the ship the Lookfar - a sort of "gray market" collective that works together to seek fame, fortune, or other esoteric goals without the interference from the powerful Trade Council.

I'm hoping to achieve a post rate of 4 to 6 times per week.  I'm asking for folks to speak up when they'll have extended absences from the game.  You can expect me to be fair, and to keep the game moving along, and to keep you informed of my whereabouts.  You can expect me to respond to your posts, questions, etc. within 48 hours.

Re: Got a game?

Anyone interested in playing Solomon Kane?  The first time I ran this, the real world interrupted.  The second time I ran it, all the players went back to the real world.  I'm willing to try it one more time.

Or I was thinking of running a modern horror setting, maybe something like Supernatural.  It doesn't have to be Supernatural though.
