Anyone interested in playing Solomon Kane?  The first time I ran this, the real world interrupted.  The second time I ran it, all the players went back to the real world.  I'm willing to try it one more time.

Or I was thinking of running a modern horror setting, maybe something like Supernatural.  It doesn't have to be Supernatural though.

I might be interested in either, especially the modern one depending upon the premise.

Re: Got a game?

Ok, so far I have two for Solomon Kane and 1 for a modern horror or Solomon Kane?

With Solomon Kane, I wanted to do the plot point campaign.  With the horror one, it could be set up like the show Supernatural where everyone is hunters or introduced to the world of monster hunting.  Or it could be more like a one-time scenario where I put you all in some situation and we continue from there and see where it goes?  Like, your car breaks down in the middle of nowhere and as you're looking for shelter from the storm that's started, you see a large old house...

For the modern angle I'm good with anything except Cthulu-esque stuff.

Re: Got a game?

I definitely don't want to run a Cthulhu-esque modern horror.

In doing modern horror, is the idea of being hunters like in Supernatural, something that appeals to you guys?

Re: Got a game?

I'm feeling like a Supernatural game would be a lot of fun right now.  I see that three people are willing to give that a try.

I might do a Solomon Kane game as well, but I think I'd rather start with a horror game and add SK along the way.

Re: Got a game?

I do have a copy of SK and wouldn't mind playing in a game of it either... as for Supernatural I own all the DVDs and have The Supernatural Book of Monsters, Spirits, Demons, and Ghouls

Re: Got a game?

I have the Supernatural Dvds as well.  The book of monsters is pretty cool too.  I was on amazon.com today and saw that they're coming out with John Winchester's journal.

Re: Got a game?

As indecisive as I am, I decided that I'll start up a game of Solomon Kane and along the way setup up one for Supernatural.  If you want to play, send me an RTJ with a character concept.  Strickland5, you and OggyBenDoggy have played in one of my previous SK games and I still have your characters if you're interested, or you can start all over?

I'll keep you posted when it's up and running.  I have most of it setup, but I'm working out some more details before I launch into it.

Re: Got a game?

I'd be up for some Kane, and have plenty of ideas for characters. What have you git in the group so far? I'm happy to fill any gaps.

Re: Got a game?

I've got a PotSM character who might fit-- a French swordsman/adventurer.  Do you think it'd work?

Re: Got a game?

Right now, all I have is a Buddhist Monk/Shaman.

Grandmaster_Cain, your Swordsman/Adventurer should work fine.

Right now, it's pretty open on characters until a few more people submit a character or character concept.

Be sure to check out Sittingduck's livejournal (http://sittingduck1313.livejournal.com/ ) and thread over on the Pinnacle forum (http://www.peginc.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=12514/ ) for some good info for your Supernatural game.

Re: Got a game?

I submitted my RTJ with John Whyte. He's a former priest of the Inquisition turned occult investigator. You need someone to get info for you here's your man.

Thanks for the suggestion about Sittingduck's Supernatural conversion.  I'm using a lot of his conversion to get my game in motion.  I'm doing a few of my own things and I'm also using the Horror Toolkit.

I'm going to try and get the modern game going this week.  In the next few days I should have some info posted for the game.
