D&D 5e adventure!

Welcome to the unknown!

I am now accepting players for our first real D&D 5e adventure. This game will use the Basic Rules (free for download) and characters will start at 1st level.

Any changes to suggested backgrounds needs to be ok'd with me (the GM).

Please PM your character sheet, using the usual ROA template as much as possible.

Since this is a first, I will accept either the recommended point-buy method for ability generation, or 4d6 drop one. If you do the latter, use the dice roller IN THIS FORUM! PM me as soon as you've rolled so that I have time to review the result.

First come is first served, and I will accept up to six PC's.

Re: D&D 5e adventure!

I'd be interested, but I've actually got the PHB; and don't particularly want to download something which is just a partial set of what I've got the full set of.

Re: D&D 5e adventure!

If you have the PHB you can use any class/option in that as well.

Re: D&D 5e adventure!

Has anyone else picked up 5e or had a chance to look at it now that the books are starting to trickle out?

I've picked up the PHB myself, so I'd definitely be interested in what published version looks like in play.

I certainly liked what I did see of the beta play, so I'm interested to see if we can't get something together for this.

Re: D&D 5e adventure!

I bought the PHB and DMG, or whatever the equivalents are, for DM Annihilator for Christmas since they were on his wishlist.  We looked over them and made a few characters for the kids and I to play with for a session over two over Skype with him DMing, and it looks good.  I don't think I'll ever like it better than 3.5/3.75, but I think it'll be fine.

Good luck on getting this going!

Re: D&D 5e adventure!

If you like to submit a character I have an adventure!

I like it a lot better than 3.5 actually. Classes are well-made and the game feels better balanced. Makes for easier and smoother DM'ing if nothing else.
