I didn't think you were; I just needed to get out and about and meet and greet. Currently I'm milling about the public areas, meeting (NPC) people. I didn't really have any major input on the investigation, anyway, and it seemed well in hand.

It is my sad duty to inform you that Otomo Hajime has dropped out of the game due to health concerns.  While he hopes to make a full recovery, he has reached the point where he has no expectation that he will be able to return.

Here's to hoping that he recovers soonest.

I've been asked to reboot this game, but since the current plot didn't hold people's fancy, I'm looking for thoughts on where y'all would like it to go

Good question. Probably the biggest question is "who's still here?" That will make a difference, I think.

And by reboot do you mean "move forward a bit" or "redo everything"? I wouldn't fancy the latter ...

Probably more like redo from before the start of Winter Court (but after the battle), so basically volume 2.  I think there's just not enough structure for most people in a court setting without a clear plot

 I didn't realize people were struggling with the plot myself... I'm up for most anything, as ever.

I think part of the problem is that hardly anyone cared about the backdrop plot (the tournament) and almost everyone was going after a different subplot.

Given that this game started out as a troubleshooting team mission, how do people feel about going back to being a Crane troubleshooting team?

Well ... I was good with the tournament, but none of my characters could actually participate. The closest I got was Kenichi having the Imperial Legion sponsor Kedo. Which I rather enjoyed, actually ...

If we go back to all Crane, then I'll have to drop Kenichi, right? Well, he'd loose his really really cool Nodachi anyway ... *lol*

Kenshin could be the Scorpion part of a joint Crane/Scorpion task force (ironic, yes, I know ^_^)

Byako wasn't well suited to the tournament stuff either, but she was making her way around, and she was trying to be involved in as many plots as possible; subplot or primary, whatever she could find out about, haha.

yeah, and I think I had too many subplots going and not enough people with enough information to bring those subplots together

 Kedo (and for some reason my autocorrect keeps trying to turn that into Jedi) would probably work well with a request from one of the Crane officers to do something useful with his time - particularly since he's already 'working' for them as a guard on their gate so a better born Bushi can attend the tournament... Having one of them for example, order him as a guard (rather than ask him as a favour) to look after Kaori he couldn't refuse and the tension would be entertaining. ^_^
