Almost certainly ^_^ here are the tests, feel free to pick and choose which you want to enter.

Kaze no Kage:
The Clans that will be participating and the prizes for their test are as follows:

Badger: A heavy weapon bearing the Badger mon, and unlimited access to training with the Ichiro sensei in all Badger dojo.

Centipede: An elaborate kimono created with the winner’s Clan and Family mon, and a satchel of scrolls for shugenja contestants.

Dragonfly: A private reading with shugenja sensei to divine the winner’s future.

Falcon: An assortment of ward ribbons used to protect the bearer from malicious spirits, an exquisite falcon-themed helmet, and an actual trained hunting falcon.

Fox: An advanced herbalism kit that provides 2 Free Raises to Medicine (Herbalism) skill Rolls and lasts twice as long as the normal item, and a scroll satchel of spells for shugenja winners.

Hare: A scribe to record the tale of the winner’s exploits in an epic play or book. When complete, the winner gains a number of Glory Points equal to the scribe’s Storytelling Skill.

Mantis: A sizeable sum of koku, and papers allowing free passage throughout the seas of Rokugan on any Mantis vessel.

Monkey: A fine quality katana with the Monkey mon engraved into the hilt.

Sparrow: An exquisitely rendered copy of the Tao.

Tortoise: A number of legal gaijin trinkets, a small kobune, tortoise-shell armor (value equals 3 x normal price of armor).

Wasp: A Tsuruchi longbow.

Yes, the Falcon, Wasp, Centipede, and Mantis are no longer Minor Clans, but their elevation or absorption happened so recently that their identity as members of the Great Clans hasn’t fully sunk in yet.

Sorry for not posting... working on that.

I just did some looking back, and I think this confusion might be my fault.  Sorry.

"Test of Badger", around msg 32 Shoji did invite Kenshin to dinner - but it was to have dinner with him, Doji Naomi and Doji Iwao.

Then, later I think I convoluted the details and it somehow became "Party at Shoji's!"

Anyway, blame this on me.

I think there only major recent interaction was that Kenshin was kind enough to give Shoji a public Iaijutsu lesson.  See "Volume 2, Interlude - Training". He was inviting Kenshin to dinner as a thank you, if I remember correctly.

I think the confusion with the dinners is my fault! I thought Sakura was taking Kenshin to an information gathering dinner with Iwao (who she causght making unpleasant faces at Kedo)

So, um, I might be entirely wrong here but all samurai have the right to wear daisho don't they?  I know that many Shujenja choose not to because wearing a katana basically says that you know how to use it, but they still can?

OR... she might be full of crap.

OR... She's crazy

OR... to be honest, you aren't allowed to duel without your lord's permission.  She might simply be forbidden from Iajitsu dueling, or something like that, and is stretching it a bit to say she isn't allowed to wear a katana.. because if you do, that means you can be challenged to an Iajitsu duel, possibly.  Make sense?
