That's a valid point. Just like we *ahem* should back up our hard drives, it's a good idea to save the latest version of your character sheet from time to time.

I have a ton of info in my ScratchPad that I should save, too!

Absolutely! The only reason I had Slivermoon's sheet is that I backed things up when I left.

I'm in 30 games more or less, too many to back up.

Thirty? No way I could keep up with that many.

Wow! I think at my peak I was in about six and running three or four, often times one of them would be a game of diplomacy.

Now I am in two and run one, and I don't think I want much more than that.

30?  I couldn’t do it.  I fluctuated the amount of games I’m in until I figured out how many things I could keep straight in my head at once.  Turns out to be a total of 8 for me playing and DMing.  Anything more and I start forgetting which game is which and the details start getting missed.

It is difficult, 29 games played, 3 DMing.

I can only keep around 3-4 straight in my head at a time.  Any more than that I feel like I loose love and connection with the character.

I think I maxed out at a dozen PbP games (spread over 3 different sites) several years ago. Since then, I've dialed back and this is the only one I'm still involved in.

I have had 3 different face-to-face groups mucking about in the same dungeon at the same time before. That was very confusing for the 6 months or so I did that.

I typically have 15-20 players at one of my face-to-face games and most people think I'm nuts for doing that, but it works.

For me its 2 - 3.  I've done 4 games but that's pushing it.  I find after 2 - 3 it starts to feel like work and is not fun so much.

I can't imagine 30!

I saw games of that  size when I was younger, back in the early eighties, but I prefer smaller groups. To each their own of course.

Right now the Nemrac game (including the OA group) has reached a steady state - every now and then we lose a few, and every now and then we gain a few - the core of veterans holds the whole thing together. Nine groups and sixty-three active players at the moment. My Star Frontiers game has one group of five players, and my Mazes and Minotaurs game has a group of seven.

It helps that four of the Nemrac groups are in the Mini-Mega-Dungeon right now. After I put all that work into it I was afraid nobody would want to try it out! I'm glad it's been a success.

I have about a dozen and keep thinking, if I add more, I won't have time to talk to what's her name, but then, I am up at 5 and she is up at 9, so I get lots of playing time in.  It is 7am now.  My live game got cancelled today, bummer on that.

I have a couple SF, AD&D, a few 5e and some freeforms based on 3.5 and SF rules in a civil war vs. knights in armor setting.  I guess I have a goal now?  31?

This is a big game! Most games have 4 to 5 players, maybe 6. I play OSE/OSRIC B/X 1ed, 2ed, 3.5 ed. I do get confused because some are d6, others d20.

I'm currently a player in seven different games, and running two (although both have been on a bit of a break lately due real world issues). In this game, I've got three different PCs. In one of the others, which has more PCs than this game, I have four active with one in reserve.

I'm playing AD&D, 5E, Stars Without Number, Star Frontiers, and Labyrinth Lord/Mutant Future.

I'm running Classic D&D and Star Wars d6 games.

I have to tried carefully, it is easy when games are slow to want to jump on to more, then suddenly they get busy and I am swamped.

How important is a complete lack of knowledge of the rules and access to none of the books to a game of Mongoose, which I assume is similar to Traveler from the context?
