Barun se odšetao kroz salu po pića, te se sukoro vratio sa pladnjem u ruci. Posluživši svakog, sjeo se u jedan udobni naslonjač kraj Syda. Princ je sjedio nasuprot Syda dok su lady Orien i Olore sjedile na drugom kraju stolića. MEdic je kao i uvijek stajala blizu stola.

Barun je, spustvši svoju kristalnu čašu natrag na stolić, upitao princa i Syda. "If we could continue our conversation from the theater hall?" Nije to rekao niti naprasito niti inzistiruajuće, no ipak su ostali razgovori utihnuli.

"Yes, we could. Thank you baron. Ahem...as you all are aware of, an Aerenal fleet has entered our waters...and Lord Lyrandar here is acting as their official diplomat in the matter at hand." Princ je kimnuo Sydu.

Lady Orien se odmah nadovezala na to. "And who made you an official representative, Lord Lyrandar?"

Syd je odgovorio kratko i jasno. " Kal'Tadal Ulohleeni who acts under the Sibling Kings and the Undying Court."

"Ah...and what connection does a minor Lyrandar scion have to the Empire of the Undying?"

Barun se trznuo na riječ Empire te se okrenuo prema lady. "M'lady, please, will you try to think about your words before you utter them? There is no such thing as the Empire of the Undying, nor is Lord Lyrandar's position in any way peculiar. The admiral of the Undying fleet wished him to be here, and so he is."

Lady je zaustila da će još nešto reći, no ipak je spustila pogled i zacrvenila do ušiju.

Olore je prozborila, sa glavom malo nagnutom u stranu kako je promatrala Syda. "And what do the elves request from the High Prince?"

" That is why I am here. So we would arrange the terms." Pogledao je princa ispod oka i udjelio mu sarkastički osmijeh.

"But your request eludes me...why do we have to arrange the terms? The ship was not under my jurisdiction. You said it sailed under my flag, but maybe you have..." Presjekao se usred rečenice.

Syd se nakašljao i okrenuo prema lady Orien. " Lady, you have an opinion about this? Please do tell." Slatko se nasmiješio.

Napučila je usne i nije rekla niti riječ.

"Well...anybody can hang a flag on their ship. But he indeed is a Lhazaraan citizen. But I will have to interrogate him before we can continue this.

" Yes, Lord, anybody can indeed hang a flag on their ship. But this was not just any flag, and regardless you had to do something with this or not, it is stil your flag" Napravio je stanku, a zatim nastavio. " I would like to participate in the interrogation."

"Ahhh..."

"This is completely outrageous, Lord. What do you have to do with a ruler questioning his vassal?"

"Tsk, tsk...lady Orien. I see you overstep your boundary with every word. The High Prince, even is his ever lawfulness, is not a de facto ruler of the Principalities. He is the first amongst equals, but not a ruler. And I am sure that Lord Lyrandar will explain the necessity of him participating in the interrogation of the man in question."

" If what the Prince claims, that his fleet had nothing to do with the incident, is true...then my participation in the interrogation can only do him good." Pogledao je lady Orien, a zatim rekao. " I know where my boundaries are in this case, I would never dream of undermining the Prince's orders nor question his ruleship."

"Olore, would you please go and organize the interrogation?" Princ je rekao umorno. Olore se naklonila i otišla.

Lady Orien se ustala i rekla. "If you would excuse me, Lords. I have some businesses to attend to." Visoko je podigla glavu i otišla.

Barun je pogledao za njom i razočarano odmahnuo glavom, no nije ništa rekao.

"Are all members of House Orien rude?" Medic je progovorila nakon svoje duge šutnje.

Na to se barun nekako tužno nasmiješio. "Ah...no, not all of them. But as do common people or poor one possess the unfortunate trait of rudness, many of the so called 'privileged class' share it. Tis unfortunate that rudeness is often coupled by arrogance.

Syd se samo nasmiješio i ostao sjediti u šutnji. Izvadio je svoju malu vrećeicu s duhanom i napunio lulu, a zatim povukao kratki dim i zamislio se gledajući u neodređenu točku na kraju sobe.

Barun je mahnuo jednom od paževa u blizini. Ovaj se približio, te mu je vilenjački plemenitaš nešto šaonuo na uho. Ovaj je žurno otrčao, te su se kroz par minuta vratila par paževa sa pladnjevima hrane. Suhi naresci, crni kruh, žuti sir jakog mirisa i posudice s maslinama su izgledale slasno na jednostqavnim drvenim posudama. "While we wait for Captain Thallis..."
