Re: Main OOC & Game Discussion
Okay. Here's what I have in mind.
1. All in one group. If Deepwalker was about then we'd have enough to make two groups of four, split conveniently between the Thayans and the Psychic Underdarkers (plus Alec). But he's not, and the numbers will help buffer the discrepancy between the high level and low level characters.
2. A homebrew adventure: No Laughing Matter. The gnomes of the Dragonjaw Mountains in Thesk hold an annual joke contest with two copper dragons. The younger of the two, Kyeshyggenal, is a frequent visitor. This year he arrived early to play a game of hide and seek with the gnomes. The dragon is given six hours to hide somewhere in the caves and tunnels of the surrounding mountains then teams of gnomes set out to find him.
These games can last days, so it was only when Kyesh did not re-emerge for the joke contest that the gnomes started to worry. The search parties have returned empty handed, the elder dragon, Narumphunem, is very upset and the contest was a write-off. The gnomes are asking for help in finding Kyesh.
The Thayan group is there on behalf of their master negotiating for an alchemical formula known to the gnomes. The gnomes have indicated they would look favourably on the request if you help find Kyesh.
The joke contest is a well-known in the gnomish community and fortunately Schnickle's travels brought him close at the right time to visit. Schnickle is a welcome guest amongst his racial cousins as are any with him.
Alec (a bard, yes?) was there to entertain the guests at the celebrations and to enjoy the jokes. He can smell a tale in the making: Seeker Schmeezle and the Lost Dragon.
I'll wait at least till morning for any feedback. If people are interested I'll reconfigure group 5 to host the game.
