Re: OOC
Quoting the SRD regarding Prestidigitation: "Prestidigitations are minor tricks that novice spellcasters use for practice. Once cast, a prestidigitation spell enables you to perform simple magical effects for 1 hour. The effects are minor and have severe limitations. A prestidigitation can slowly lift 1 pound of material. It can color, clean, or soil items in a 1-foot cube each round. It can chill, warm, or flavor 1 pound of nonliving material. It cannot deal damage or affect the concentration of spellcasters. Prestidigitation can create small objects, but they look crude and artificial. The materials created by a prestidigitation spell are extremely fragile, and they cannot be used as tools, weapons, or spell components. Finally, a prestidigitation lacks the power to duplicate any other spell effects. Any actual change to an object (beyond just moving, cleaning, or soiling it) persists only 1 hour." So that spell cannot light a fire.
Prestidigitation in 5e can do that though.
As I'm working on starting my first 5e game right now and as I have been working with the new players in character creation, I've realized that character creation for 5e is so much easier. So the thought of changing this campaign to 5e entered my head. And right after that thought I realized that that would introduce so many changes to your characters. And some might not play 5e at all (I used to be one of them). And a 3.5 adventure is different than a 5e adventure, because things have changed. And I don't know what the consequences of those changes would be.
Is changing this game to a 5e game something you would be interested in? As all the books I have access to are PHB, DMG, and MM, those would be the only books for the game.
