Totally on me, I misread it.

Um... a bit lost here: Why are we entering this town again? - We were looking for a kidnapped person and followed the skeleton. What do we hope to find here?

My recall was we were hoping to find info about:
1) finding a scroll to change the stellar alignment?
2) where the undead gathering/keep was located more precisely/directions
3) ingredients/process to help clean the journal to find if there is more info within, perhaps providing more info re the items or the process, or what to find at the end of the tunnel, as it were.
4) Tal had also mentioned for word/news of trails northish, where we are intending to travel, but that was half in RP, half potential use :)
