Intro Peter MarKenin

While visiting Pashin, on his first mission as a squire, to purchase horses for the High Warrior, Peter was taking a walk, to clear his head, the count of one, two, three four leaving his lips repeatedly, one word for each step, and next to him next to him walked his celestial wolf companion, when he saw a hole in the street in front of his feet. And under that hole was a ladder leading down to the sewers. Which Peter decided to investigate.

Peter climbed down the ladder and his golden eyes glimmered in the darkness, the wolf jumping down after him. The chamber he found himself in was 60-90 feet wide on each side with an artesian well in the middle.

Three tunnels left the chamber in three different directions, though one of them fairly soon turned right. In the center of each tunnel was a gully wider than two men needed to fight next to each other and about as deep as they were tall. The gully was half filled with water and waste that washed down the hewn stone walls in narrow channels from the roads above. On each side of the gully was a walkway of relatively smooth flagstones, though slick in places, wide enough for one warrior. The ceiling curved up into an arch over the center of the gully and at the edges it was about twice your height and in the center about a half height higher.

Re: Intro Peter MarKenin

Peter's nose wrinkled in disgust as the smell of the waste and drain water reached his nose.  "By the gods this place smells of a gully dwarf's rear."  He scanned the possibilities of investigation, not really knowing which way to go.  What was the reason the sewer hole was left open, he thought.  Is there footprints?  Maybe watery footprints leading down one of the tunnels...

"What do you think my friend?"  Peter only casually asks his companion as he begins searching...

OOC: Does the wolf already have a name?

Re: Intro Peter MarKenin

As Peter looked around he found no evidence that anything other than rats had passed here recently.

[OOC: Sometime after this thread is finished, I'm planning to make it a public thread. So if there are anything you want to keep secret, either PM me or insert a private line in the post.]

Re: Intro Peter MarKenin

"Well Crimson?  What do you say we check out that tunnel that is different than the others?  Hmm?"  He paused to look around again, and placed his hand on the pommel of his sword.

One...two...three...four....one...two...three...four, his footsteps echoed in rhythm with the four count in the deep tunnels as he headed into the tunnel that turned right...

Re: Intro Peter MarKenin

As Peter and Crimson started down the tunnel, they chose to turn right at the intersection though the tunnel continued forward also. They continued onward for some time until they reached another chamber. This one with four tunnels, one in each direction.

[OOC: If you want to give instructions to go more than one intersection at a time so that we might find something a little faster, you are welcome to do so.]

Re: Intro Peter MarKenin

[OOC: If possible, he will go forward three more intersections, then turn right, three more intersections forward, then right... keeping the 4 count]

Re: Intro Peter MarKenin

Peter and Crimson continued onward for some time, but at the next intersection they could only turn right or left, so they turned right. And as they came up on the next chamber, they could see light coming from the tunnel to the left.

[OOC: This story will now continue in the Chapter 1.1j thread]
