OOC
To distinguish it from the old game, I have created this OOC thread for the new game.

Re: OOC
Cool. Is there planning for any differant set of parameters in the game?, has anything changed from the original game?.

Re: OOC
I posted a bit about that in the old OOC thread. But the basics are the same. Level 4 gestalt characters that start in Ak-Khurman. Why you're there and how you got there is up to you. It would be nice if some of the characters know each other.

The DL gaming books I have access to are available for character creation, The 'The Heroes,' 'Character Creation' and 'House Rules' threads are the most useful ones for character creation. And there are some minor changes there, mostly to accommodate the fact that the DL books are available.

Re: OOC
Hey all, one of the new guys here! I'm playing a ranger (on one side), and I was wondering, what would be a good choice for Favored Enemy?

Also, is the 3.5 book Player's Handbook 2 open?

Re: OOC
I do not have PHB2, so it is not available.

I'd have to get back to you on the Favored Enemy though.

Re: OOC
I will be running a squire of the sword and blending a cleric to the char.

He is still young in experience and sometimes a touch bullheaded but his heart is in the right place.

I will be keeping this character in all likelihood.  Might do a Knight/Mage.  Not sure.

When you've made up your mind Gor, let me know so that I know what players to invite.

Re: OOC
For the beginning of the campaign, the following are likely to be the most useful as favored enemies, listed alphabetically. But dice and choice may change the details:

Dragon, Giant, Humanoid (Human), Magical beast, Outsider (Fire), Outsider (Evil)

Re: OOC
Hmm. I'm thinking either Humanoid (human) or Magical Beast, since I figure fighting dragons, giants and outsiders was probably not part of my training :P

This may be a good time to let you know that I'm never online on Sundays. So Rothdar, depending on your time zone, it seems I'll have something to look at when I get back from work on Monday.

Re: OOC
Also since it was mentioned in the write up, that the Gm wouldn't mind some of us knowing each other, Alustaria is a traveling bard and troublemaker she is a Robin Hood type character, she tends to look after those who are in need in the times of change and uncertainty, using the skills she has in hunting to actually leave meat, when she has no monies to give out. She's been at this for over 50 years.

So given she's a traveling story-teller, she would fit in with having met people just about anywhere.

Re: OOC
She sounds awesome! Rothdar is a woodsman and mystic; he's also traveling and only recently arrived in town. Alustaria, if you want, the two of us could have met on the road and traveled to the starting city together!

I have gathered the five players that will participate in this game. Most characters have completed character sheets.

Gor is in the town, currently occupied in forging some blades in a smithy run from a mule pulled wagon.
