Background:
Born on Barrak like most Barrakians, Tharcon was predicted by the doctors to grow to a very large height. Especially for a Fou. His parents saw promise in Tharcon's size predictions and thought they may very well have an exceptional child since he was born a Fou and yet would be one of the strongest Fou on the planet (Presumeably anyway, thanks to the size). They were right. All through childhood, Tharcon was looked up to and respected by his peers. He didn't take this lightly either. While most would be content with just natural strength, he saw the potential to break records and become what no other Fou had become. So he exercized daily and became a very strong Fou. As time went on, Tharcon also wound up with a little brother who was four years younger and showed nowhere near as much promise, being only an average Korshare.
As a birthday present for his 15th birthday, Tharcon's parents decided to take a trip to Bliss as a short vacation. But things went horribly wrong. At the time, there was a cargo ship passing between the areas of space where Barrak and Bliss were situated. Some opportunists with dollar signs in their eyes went to raid the cargo ship, but when they saw the passenger ship en route on their radar, they saw easy pickings for selling to the slave trade. Disabling the ship's engines and using a tractor beam, the pirates dragged the passenger ship off to be sold to the slave trade. Tharcon and his parents, along with all the other passengers in the ship were sold and soon put to work. Tharcon's parents resisted a little, but with two sons to worry about, they decided to serve rather than endanger their children. Tharcon, in obedience to his parents, had a servant attitude as well, looking for opportunities to escape.
Years passed and the young teenager became a man and even bigger and stronger than when the slave organization first obtained him. Between his hard work ethic and his unusual physique, Tharcon grew to be eight feet tall and looked like a mountain of muscle. Yet, he was still able to fly with the might of his incredible wings. He was watched more than the other prisoners due to his purely intimidating size. Along the way, however, Tharcon had befriended a fellow slave. A Mewi by the name of Victor. Victor was a very friendly guy who often used his matter-of-fact humor to keep Tharcon and his family's spirits up. But the day came and Victor saw the opportunity for escape that Tharcon had been looking for all along...
A long story short, the escape failed horribly. Victor had managed to escape, but when he saw his friend Tharcon wasn't going to make it, he went back for Tharcon only for them both to be captured and punished severely. Tharcon was given a week of solitary confinement with bare minimum food. Just enough to keep him able to do the massive amounts of work the slave masters were accustomed to from him. Victor was given a submission headband which was a crudely built one and certainly not on par with the upper end technologies. Victor resisted the headband's effects so hard, Tharcon's parents could swear Victor was a Fou in a Mewi's body... but in the end, it cost Victor his sanity. Tharcon could hear Victor's screams and that was the last thing Tharcon remembers of those events. He blacked out and became an unstoppable force of fury that destroyed the encampment and slaughtered every slave master there. It wasn't until he was out of the prison on a ship full of escaped prisoners and holding his barely living friend Victor in his arms that he finally came to again.
Tharcon and his family found a good home on Tharia and Victor, of course, was most welcome in Tharcon's home. It was around that time that the Emperor of the Tharians, Dominus, overheard of Tharcon's legendary act and proposed that Tharcon could serve as one of the Emperor's primary officers. Tharcon, seeing a very high-paying job opportunity, agreed to it and he was assigned to oversee Coal. Tharcon discovered that all of Planet Coal had been enslaved and it filled his heart with anger. But what chance did Tharcon have against the emperor? With no immediate danger to friends, Tharcon bided his time. In only a few months time, Tharcon heard news that Victor was also hired as one of Dominus' top officers. Though why was never explained to him.
For many years, Tharcon secretly plotted with the Coalwren on how their planet was going to be freed. Finally, Tharcon made an army out of the people of Coal and Dominus found this to be a useful act, ironically commending Tharcon for putting the people to a more military use. Dominus' mistake was that he never asked how Tharcon gained the loyalty of his people. But in the end, it didn't matter. The day came when Dominus was killed by some wayward explorer by accident as if by some cruel joke of fate.
Now Tharcon rules the planet Coal with a mighty hand and a fierce loyalty from his subjects who consider him just as Coalwren as the rest of them. He plans to rid the universe of putting the innocent in bondage and instead, desires to see slave masters in chains, forced to work and tortured.
Personality:
Once a friendly guy. Once a gentle giant. At least for a Barrakian... well... NO MORE! Tharcon still has a gentle side to him hidden somewhere, but these days, he is a fierce mountain of muscle who is intimidating just to look at a photo of. In the very fiber of his being is a hatred of slavery and power-hungry slave drivers so deep that Tharcon's top priority in the universe is to see people who do not deserve to be enslaved free. He is a man of few words, rarely even speaking once in a meeting. He no longer feels excitement from danger, but rather gets angry. Tharcon is also very much Barrakian in that he will honor those who honor him. He repays respect with respect. But he has since also adopted some Coalwren culture concepts and built his own paddle.
Abilities:
1) Intimidating - Tharcon has the presence of a demon. A low pitch growl seems to just emit from him whenever he gets impatient. He wears a helmet that has a pair of glowing red eye covers. His black armor covers all of him and he has even painted his wings black. His silence is deafening and his size is staggering. Anyone standing in his presence who does not have a particularly high level of courage or fearlessness will be afraid.
2) Strength Beyond Strength - Although Tharcon is a Fou, he is unusually huge, unusually strong and took his strength to new levels. This doesn't prevent him from flying, amazingly, but Tharcon is strong enough to throw a small explorer's ship around like it only weighed 50 pounds.
3) Majescent - Tharcon has studied the ways of the Coalwren deeply and loves the people in his care with a passion. Among the things studied was the Male Coalwren martial arts. While he does not have a tail like Coalwren do, he learned the art as best he could and coriagraphed it with his right hand woman Purity Soulwrench so that the two, if ever in a fight together, would work better together than as seperate fighters. After 18 years of study and tweaking and blending in some Barrakian fighting, this has been perfected.
Weaknesses:
(Suggestions welcome)
1) ????? -
2) ????? -
Weapons:
1) Coalwren Paddle - While Tharcon prefers fists to using his paddle, Tharcon has made up his mind to use the Coalwren Paddle for times when Purity is at his side. Purity is at Tharcon's side frequently, but not always.
Equipment:
1) High Grade Armor - Tharcon wears tech armor that protects him from blunt, bladed and energy attacks. The tech part, of course, providing forcefields to protect against energy weapons while the armor part protects from other forms of attack.
2) High Impact Force Field Generator - Not able to carry this on his person, Tharcon has a very advanced force field generator installed in his throne room on Coal. Should someone attack him in said throne room, this generator kicks on and throws force fields in front of Tharcon preventing incredible damage such as damage that would have been done by a bazooka or other high-end weapons.
