I'm not dead yet!  (Clone life)

You get your first six-pack of clones for 2000 credits.  You start as Prime (which is free), and your first five clones are therefore 400 credits each, a bargain!  (Thank you, friend Computer.)

After that, each six-pack of clones costs 6,000 credits, 1000 per clone.  Costs are necessary not only to cover the Computer costs for Tech Services, but also to discourage frivolous dying.  (Oh, wise Computer!)  The price for next sets, if necessary, will go up.  If your account goes negative, you are in danger of clone foreclosure, in which case your template will be wiped and you will not be able to create any new clones.

Clones beyond the original five are prone to cumulative imperfections called genetic drift.

Normally, it takes citizens months before Tech Services gets around to downloading their recorded memories into a new replacement body.  But since Troubleshooters have a twenty-seven-thousand-percent higher fatality rate than average, you are given preference.

Re: I'm not dead yet!  (Clone life)

Living Expenses:  At Red Clearance, your salary and living expenses are 1000 credits per month.

If someone kills you without having adequate evidence of your treason, the impetuous murderer is liable for the cost of your new clone (prorated).

GENETIC DRIFT:  From the seventh clone on, you may find strange genetic changes to your clone (a speech impediment, missing a finger, etc.)  Each genetic drift of course continues on to the next clone.  (So the 8th clone will also have the problem the 7th had plus an additional one.)  By the 10th or 11th clone, Quasimodo would look good in comparison.

However, at Clearance level BLUE and higher you can spend 10,000 credits to get Tech Services to clean up and correc the template, so that the next six clones are as perfect as the original.

Before level BLUE, you may be able to get an illicit deal through a secret society to do a template cleanup.  Usually, they require you to do some unspecified favor at some unspecified time in the future.

(If you want to keep the same mutant power in future clones, tell the GM before the clone is ordered.  If not, a new Mutant Power will be rolled for randomly.)

(HAVE YOU GOTTEN THE IMPRESSION YET THAT YOU MAY BE DYING A LOT?)
