Re: CORMYR: OOC Forum

Well, if you're going to be influencing Walter with Lovecraft's style, I guess he'll fit right into Cormyr - they like purple here.

I'll try and stop it dragging quite so much now I've finally got myself sorted out with where the region is going, though. ^^

The Sword of Day is actually something of a joke item I encountered a while ago - as magic weapons go, there are much better ones, but if you throw it at a party who can't Identify items... oooh, shiiiiny... it must be powerful! hehe.

Re: CORMYR: OOC Forum

Heh. I do tend towards the purple, I think. :) I was also trying for an archaic style to suit the medieval age; and I've hardly ever done first-person writing. My style should settle down sometime.

Re: CORMYR: OOC Forum

I would rather the sword of Dawn over a +2 or +3 sword. It has style and personality. It has a neatness factor that far surpasses more mundane weapons.

You all have the items and I wish you all the best. I should be losing access to the group soon. It was a pleasure rping with you folks and I hope the cormyr folks were only injured and not killed in my escape.

Re: CORMYR: OOC Forum

Well, just now...

Or perhaps I'm just using the default DnD "gender-neutral" term... or out of sheer habit since I've been known to use 'she' even when writing male characters by mistake...

You'll never know! *spooky X-files music*

Whatever of the loot is left over is fine with me.

I really don't have anything IC to contribute at the moment.

Re: CORMYR: OOC Forum

Ok, to progress the game, someone's gotta get this done with :P

quote:
450 gp in gems
405 gp in coins
Potion of Endurance
Wand of magic missile (3rd level, 22 charges)
2 x Cloak of Resistance +1
Scrolls: dispel magic, fireball, haste, lighting bolt, protection from arrows.
Bracers of Armour +1
Sword of Day (+1 Longsword, +1 attack vs Undead (stacks), Light 20' Bright White)

Cash(ish):855gp
Pot of Endurance:300gp (Not in SRD, I assume Bear's Endurance was meant.)
Wand of MM:990gp
2x Cloaks:2000gp
Scrolls Total: 1500gp
     Dispell:375gp
     Fireball:375gp
     Haste:375gp
     Lightning Bolt:375gp
     Protection:150gp

Bracers of Armor:1000gp
Sword of Day:2000gp (Not sure how much, but it's just +1 in most circumstances)

Total: 8645gp

I don't know if it'd be a little unfair if I took all the scrolls and the bracers. On the other hand, I can just scribe a few scrolls after scribing those spells and return them to those with UMD(bard) so I'm not too worried.

Re: CORMYR: OOC Forum

From the 5th to the 11th of July (leaving in ~10 hours) I'll be in South Korea for a conference, giving a presentation and being science-y and professional and all that. Aargh!

I likely won't have internet access over this period, unless I discover an internet cafe or something, and even then it'll be erratic. Please NPC me until I return.

Re: CORMYR: OOC Forum

This stuff I've taken:
  Sword Of Day
  75 gp
  67.5 gp worth of gems

I also had my eye on the Cloak Of Resistance +1, if there's one left that nobody else wants.

Hmmm, Kazz wanted the cloak tough. So how we resolve the matter? OOC or IC or just make 'roll d6 and highest winner gets it'?

I've got this distinct feeling I should be higher level than I am...  And I know I should have more stuff.  At least on RoA B'day gift.  I'll need to look into this.

Re: CORMYR: OOC Forum

The amount of gifts or RoA Birtday money you have is based on level. I recall it was like 1K gold per level if I am correct.
