Re: Shopping list

Ack, that's terrible! I never play barbs though, so no wonder I got it wrong...

Re: Shopping list

It really does make barbarians very dangerous characters to play.

As once you're at level 5, you go unconcious and your dead (as -1 hp, you lose at LEAST 10 hp and die instantly).

Just wanted to be sure! :)

Re: Shopping list

Hi Crew!
I'm off on vacation starting tomorrow with no internet access, and expect to pick up the game after the holidays (although before new years eve).

Merry Christmas!

Re: Shopping list

Ok, you may set yourselves up at the inn, sister lenora is joining you for dinner. And I've taken away Alandiira and Barry. I will solicit one player, as you would do well with a cleric-type or paladin.

Ok people, you will have to decide what to do next; I'm not really pushing this way or that right now but will be reacting to your decisions. My intention with this adventure is really to gauge interest and ability in order to tailor the next adventure better. I hope it's an ok approach.

Re: thunderstone

Okay. Just not sure what's going on - seeing how I've sort of just joined?

Are we *IN* an adventure, or inbetween?

I assume if nothing else, I can see two paths:
1. Seeing the sage as the cleric told us.
2. Heading back to the guards to get more mission/s?

Re: thunderstone

I don't think we've been given any particular mission yet, other than go to Thunderstone (completed), meet with Laheralson (completed), meet the sage Valthrun (not yet) and presumably someone will ask us to do something about the kobold problem. So, I guess we've been coasting until we find out what we need to do.

So, I guess we first need to have a proper meeting with Laheralson, and find out what he wants us to do about the kobolds. Then he can check on the sage and see if has anything to add. Then we can get to work.

Re: thunderstone

Ya, I still don't understand the game play theory of it just the rules and why they are there.  Just trying to add some kind of flare to the character and what I think is involved with the item creation.  Since you loose XP that you get form life experiences, I figured it was life force related.  Mianly I'm developing my character as I go so I hope the party enjoys reading him as much as I like playing him.

Re: thunderstone

Of course. I just thought I'd play the part of the clueless person ignorant of the invisible rules that govern the world. :)

Re: thunderstone

The rules are indeed invisible.  But with the loss of experience I always figured there would be some thing that the caster would feel being lost.  I mean if you can delevel from casting to much, you would feel dumber right?

Re: thunderstone

Can you de-level from XP expenditure? I thought it couldn't take you lower than your last level-up?

BTW, why have you started posting in future tense? I don't think I've ever seen it used it before.

Re: thunderstone

'Past tense' is when you say what you did in the past, like "I did it yesterday."

'Present tense' is when you say what you are doing currently, like "I am doing it now."

'Future tense' is when you say what you will do in the future, like "I will do it tomorrow."

Though you've got something a little weird and different going on here, with some kind of conditional future tense: "I would do it tomorrow, if..."

It seems to be something you began in post #162, so I was wondering if there was a reason for it. Ever since I started working as an editor, I notice all these things. :) So I just applied these habits to Walter.

Welcome!

Boss, I think we're done with breakfast if you want to push us forwards to meeting the commander.

Penville, do you have a particular language when talking to the dog, or is it just Common?
