Re: Silver Marches Adventure: The Absent-Minded Sage
Huh, so much for that. So, shall we go back, to the crossroads?" Raiden yawned, partly because of the nap, partly for the wait, and mostly for the endless dungeon-crawling.
Re: Silver Marches Adventure: The Absent-Minded Sage
"Indeed." Silifrey heads back tot eh cross-roads and takes the passage immediatly to the right of the one which led to teh crystal, still occasioanlly testing the weight and balance of her new sword as she goes.
Re: Silver Marches Adventure: The Absent-Minded Sage
Galain headed after SIlifrey feeling very confident. Already the details of his vision was getting hazy but at least he knew he was meant for great things.
Re: Silver Marches Adventure: The Absent-Minded Sage
In silence, Taman moved toward the front of the group, following Silfrey's lead. He moved along with his axe and shield in hand, eyes and ears alert to danger.
Re: Silver Marches Adventure: The Absent-Minded Sage
Oddly when the group reaches the crossroads they see that there is no longer a crossroad but a round circled clearing whit a marble statue depicting a elven dancer spinning around in flowing outfit and there is only one passage out of it besides the path what they had taked to the crystal.
Re: Silver Marches Adventure: The Absent-Minded Sage
The fountain nor the clearing had any signs of traps nor Taman heard nor saw no one (nor saw anything strange) in passage ahead which turned to left after ten feet from the clearing.
Re: Silver Marches Adventure: The Absent-Minded Sage
Silifrey sees that path turns and leads to yet another clearing but there is no fountain but tall wooden beams supporting big rose bush and her nose smells strong scent of roses.
Re: Silver Marches Adventure: The Absent-Minded Sage
There is no paths nor tunnels out of the clearing whit the rose bushes. Nor anything is unusual whit the roses besides the fact that they grow in underground whit no source of light or how they have been treated all these years.
Re: Silver Marches Adventure: The Absent-Minded Sage
(Nope, shortly said; You are in dead end. There are three clearings now whit no exits and were connected by path; The one whit the crystal, the one whit statue and one whit tall rosebush.)
Re: Silver Marches Adventure: The Absent-Minded Sage
Galain closed his eyes for a moment and began murmuring under his breath while his hands swept through mystic passes. He starts to examine the different paths and walls of the room searching for magical emanations.
OCC: Cast detect magic and sweeping the room for magical auras.
Re: Silver Marches Adventure: The Absent-Minded Sage
So far as group's examination brings out, they dont see anything peculiar in the rose bush and altough Galain senses that everything in maze radiates magic he cannot determine details of it's function yet. But experience was overwhelming enough to make him stunned and lose his focus on his spell, so whoever has weaved art into maze is far more powerfull caster than what Galain is.
Re: Silver Marches Adventure: The Absent-Minded Sage
Raiden paced restlessly around the small section of the maze they were trapped in, like a caged tiger. It was like being back in prison, he decided, and the frustration grew. Finally he took his scythe to one hedge, and launched a few experimental hacks.
