Re: Silver Marches Adventure: The Absent-Minded Sage

The group goes along the pathway and after few turns (there was no cross-sections) the group reaches to hot springs. There are five such springs, four generally being same size and suited for two people and there is one very large and deep one where six people at time could fit together. There were simple silk canvasses in both sides of the spring, other had nude elf male statue lounging near the other and in other was nude female elf lounging in other. There is pleasant elven music to be played at moment but so far no source can be inticated where it comes from. So far there is no one in the springs it seems.

Raiden looked around at the alluring sights, and wolf-whistled. "Hey Silifrey," he suggested with a wolfish grin, "Want to take a bath?"

Is there water still in the hot spring baths? And are they any rooms or exits?

Galain smiled at Silifrey's muttering, Elven people do not share humans' view of modesty Silifrey. He walked along the path and when they get to the bath he shrugs, No libraries around here, we should head back out. The Sage won't find himself. the last was said while looking pointedly at Raiden.

Raiden wandered over to the baths, looked inside, and idly flicked some water around.

"Alright." he said, and followed Galain out again.

When group lefted they soon (after few odd extra turns) arrived to the clearing where statue was and lady Goldleaf giggled and asked; "Did not like the baths?"

Silifrey smiles pleasnetly at Raiden's suggestions, "Business before pleasure - some other time perhaps."

As for Lady Goldleaf's question, she says, "That baths are lovely, but we are looking for the library, and we saw no indication that we could find one in that direction.  Are you certain that the libraries were past the baths area?  It is possible that we could hae imssed a concealed doorway somewhere, but we saw nothing overt."

Goldleaf gasps and replies; "Oh sorry! I got distracted by my memories, it happens sometimes." If statue could blush it could be now ruby red according tone what Goldleaf speaked. But she soon continued; "The poem went; 'Walk trough when passage recalls what you have learned, trough passage seek correct page, in the page dragon's maw is entry to doors of knowlegde.'"

Re: Silver Marches Adventure: The Absent-Minded Sage

Silifrey looks thoroughly stupefied, "I'm afraid riddles never were my strongest suit.  Perhaps we should be looking for some specific object in the baths?  Something with a dragon?"  She looks helplessly at the rest of the party, clearly hoping that keener minds then hers will solve the riddle.

When group looks back, they notice passage of the baths no longer exchisted but on their left was now passage which looked like opening of a book (the edge of the bushes in entry were shaped like book cover and pages).

Silifrey looks slightly perplexed by this sudden turn of serendipity, but, not one to look a gift-horse in the mouth, she shrugs, hefts her weapon, and heads down the passage.

Finally! Galain exclaimed, these ancient elves were great architects but when one didn't know the ins and outs of their system it was easy to get lost, and that, he supposed, was the point.

Re: Silver Marches Adventure: The Absent-Minded Sage

The group walks into the passage, which is unique because the walls and small decoration statues resemblanted lore and learning or books. There were small statues of reading elf maids and men, dragons and even one studious looking treant. In the passage the walls formed 'pages' which background was doned by leafs but they had flowers forming relief sand scenes into them. In some were elf mages casting high magic rituals, some had meditating druids and so on. Also one maw open demon and dragon standed on two of the pages.

Raiden wandered over to the 'page' that showed the demon. He patted the fiend on the head in a mocking manner. Who knows, it could have been one of his ancestors.

The demon bush does not react at all to Raiden's touch but Raiden got bush spike hit his palm painfully! Nothing change in the passage while group travels it and soon they come to dead end of the 'book passage'.

Re: Silver Marches Adventure: The Absent-Minded Sage

Raiden looked blank. Is she staring at me? Does she want something? Hey, is she hot for me? The aasimar? Eventually realised that no such thing was happening, and divined her intention. "Oh right."

Something about a page and a dragon's maw, went the riddle. Previously Raiden had only paid attention to the demon. Now he went to the wall/page with the dragon, and searched around it and peered into the dragon's mouth.

Re: Silver Marches Adventure: The Absent-Minded Sage

Soon Raiden noticed that the 'page' was not wall of bush like demon face but rather a well disguised passage because when Raiden sticked his head into the 'maw' others could see his head disappear into the bush smoothly. Raiden saw passage other side of the 'illussion'.
