Re: Silver Marches Adventure: The Absent-Minded Sage

Galain moves forward, brushing the web alot with his body and hands while he moves towards the stairs. He reaches the stairs whitout problems faced yet and he rises up them. Soon he reaches to second floor of this tower and see massive clockwork mechanical parts; Wheels and gears all varied sorts and he sees enormous crystal glass window which haves two arrows, a shorter one pointing towards north and longer one pointing towards south.

Galain cried out in pain as the spider stuck him with the stinger. A moment later he felt the creature's poisen start to course through his veins. He suddenly felt sluggish and uncoordinated. Nevertheless he steeled himself and fired off a ray of fire from his outstretched fingertips.

Galain puts on the visors and looks for anykind of control mechanism for the clock. If he cant find one he will manipulate the hands till they are in the six o'clock position for the bell to ring six times. If that is also not possible he will look for the bells and ring them himself.

Galain does find some controls but they are rusted shut and likely broken. But he finds the bells themselves however, there was four of them, all going from smallest to bigger one and are clearly elven work.

"Yeah, something like that." he muttered in reply to the sage, choosing to let the others handle it.

Having heard the bells, Galain heads back to the room where the others were frozen. Bursting in and seeing everyone animated he feels a great weight lift from his shoulders, Thank the Seldarine! I had almost dispaired of getting the enchantment lifted. You all were frozen in stasis for hours! I don't think it was a full day but it was close.

OOC: Daughter.

"A day? Damnit." Raiden complained. Yet somehow it had felt longer. Much, much longer. He rubbed his red eyes. Ashes, but he felt tired. Tired and bad-tempered.

He turned to the sage and let out his frustration. "So get your stuff and your loot, and let's go." That was if this cursed place would actually let them out now.

Re: Silver Marches Adventure: The Absent-Minded Sage

Galain rolled his eyes, humans rarely saw sense in his opininion and he was going to have to convince this man to go  as soon as possible, Listen sir, we came here to rescue you. You were under the effects of a magical effect that was left in place by bthe builders of this place. I don't know how long you were trapped in stasis but my friends here were caught by the spell as well. It took me the better part of a day to break the enchantment. It was difficult to say the least and I nearly didn't survive. He put his hand to his hyead as dizzyness undertook him. I think I still have spider poisen coursing through my veins so please sir if you could make it quick I would appreciate it.

Re: Silver Marches Adventure: The Absent-Minded Sage

The sage blinked his eyes and then said with shocked expression in his face; "Oh dear! That is quite ingenious altough quite troublesome trap indeed! I just pack all these scrolls isntead checking what I pick up and get on going, my daughter is worrying sick already probably if I have been stuck here so long!"

(fast speeding forward now)

Persis Volk packs all his scrolls to his handy heward haversack and leads party out of the ruins. He gives a lenghty dialoque about architecture and so far discovered history of the watch tower and he confirms that the tower was dated along to fifth Crown Wars era and was quite effective watch tower which used special scrying gem to watch far away places quickly at once and also locate traces of magic in area.

Once outside the tower Persis Volk rolls up his flying carpet and before he goes to his daughter at Everlund he gives party alot of trinkets as his thanks and also offers material components for raise dead spell for one the fallen companions before he departs. At Everlund party got 2 more trinkets and hefty bag of gems.

OOC: Ok, Alec gets the diamonds for the raise dead spell (and so reduces cost of it alot but you need still either a favour or buy the spell from cleric) and following items besides your RoA birthday gift;

2x +2 ring of protection
1x Headband of Intelect +4
1x +2 elven chainmail (basically mithril +2 chainmail but it is elven design)
1x Elven Minstrel Harp (basically masterwork elven harp which gives +2 bonus to perform; String Insturments but if you have 5 ranks in that skill you get +3 instead. Also increases daily bardic music ability by +1 and increases save DC of  bardic suggestion by +1)
1x Gloves of Dexterity +2 (dark green elven gloves with golden vine details)
2x Vest of Resistance +2 (elven design, one dark blue+silver lines, other dark red+golden lines)
3x Scrolls; Scroll of Scrying (5lvl), Fly (5lvl), Scry location (9lvl)
2x Wands; Wand of Magic Missile (3lvl, 35 charges), Wand of Cure Disease (5lvl, 15 charges)
5x Potions; 3xCure Moderate Wounds, 2xInvisbillity

Also finally 5,000gp worth of gems (you can freely say what gems you taked but total worth is however 5,000).

Also from lengthy game and patience I reward you 2,000 XP.

Once all was said and done, Raiden yawned as he picked over the loot. "Well, that's over with. At long last."

"I'm outta here. Places to go, people to kill, you know. Maybe we'll run into each other again some day, and hopefully not the end of a blade."

"Happy adventuring!"
