WO1 William Brown:
Walking around the village looking for the team members he informs each of them of their duties. While going through the village he also looks out for the german borderguard officer. He'd like to know if there is a place for the team to take quarters.
Gerhard is talking to a big Polish soldier and a woman in naval fatigues near a house off to one side.
As Brown walks up he looks past him at the flying footballs and smiles sadly at some memory, and says to the other two there;
"May I introduce Oberstabsfeldwebel Brown of the United Kingdom Heer. This is Kapitan Eryk Czartoryski, formally of the Polish 4101st Special Operations Battalion and up until recently serving with the US 5th Infantry Division." He turns to the woman and says
"And this is Leutnant Kommander Mary Finnegan, also of the United Kingdom Heer. Of the three of us, I am the most junior, and Kapitan Czartoryski has a honorary rank."
"While you are here, I assume your people will be bunking with us, it's an 'all ranks' billet." Gerhards smiles remotely, and continues.
"This old house has been loaned to us by the locals, who no doubt like to keep all their worries under one roof."
Gerhard shows Brown the old farmhouse, low set and heavy with age.
