Re: the tunnels tremble with anticipation.

More reserved than Arminna, Meeka seeks a piece of fruit to sample, hopefully something no too sweet and not too messy.  Meanwhile, she continues to keep out a careful eye on their new found companions.

Re: the tunnels tremble with anticipation.

"I can assure you of one thing Meeka the people here are hedonists, but good natured"

"Most of them are petitionars though." she explains

"You see when one dies, one loses most of ones Factual memorys of life, and becomes a petitionar.

becoming less and less "Real" through the years, and more and more a borderline archeteype of either the plane he went to, if he served no go or goddess, or of of his god.

Eventualy his peition is granted, he becomes one with either the plane hes on, or ith the deity"

"So now they drink, they laugh, they carouse, they eat they sing, they dance, , and otherwise become as the greek gods, until they become as one with them."

"Its a process that generally takes longer then the person lived, though, especialy if they were only so faithful in life.

A petitionar CAN leave his gods realm or even the plane but does so at incredible risk...

if he is killed out of his gods realm he disperses back into the plane itself... if he dies off the plane..." Shakes her head.

"He goes, to oblivion, as if he never was, and only the most incredible of magics can truly restore him.

Thus they rarely leave their gods realm, indeed why would they? Its exactly where they've always wanted to be"

"When they DO Leave it is almost always to Sigil, or the realm ofa friendly deity... And even then they pack protection.

Oblivion isnt a thing to be risked lightly" she explains.

Jhaelnya is good with singing and they rejoice in her song... and they eat and dance and she sits back down sighing "I wish I could still dance, but with only one leg, this pegleg is study mind you, but I cant afford regeneration magics" sighs at that.

Arminna sits down next to Jhaelnya.  "I wouldn't worry," she replies.  "I'm sure that the Dark Maiden knows that you are dancing in your heart."

Meeka shrugs.  "I'm out of my element."  The comment seems to be overly difficult for Meeka to make.  "So I'm not so sure which direction to suggest.  What are the threats of going to Arvandor versus the threats of going to Olympus?"

"Arvandor has a near certianty of frosty greeting or a unfriendly glance, and a slight chance of a physical attack, not likely but not small enough chance I'll throw it out of hand."

"Olympus... Has a bunch of people partying nonstop... including the Bacchae... a group of mystical partyers, who if you join their Revels, you might get possesed by the spirit of diyonusis, and turn into a Bacchae.

Arminna thinks on this for a while.  "Then how about we quick visit Arvandor first, then move on to Olympus?  That way we can have our fun at the end," she says.

The bard sighs

"Coures" she says dryly.

"The weakest of all Eladrin.

They also tend to emphasize the Chaotic aspect over the good... they wont commit murder... but will gleefully play pranks that are sometimes semi malicious and get along well enough with Sprites. And will engage in theft, as long as no APPEARENT harm will come from it..., especialy from someone they see as wanting in humility"

"Do note that harm that was NOT appearent can and has come from their thefts, and in general just being mischevious.

"No fooling you is their" says miserably.

Another of the coures comes close to Armiana... "Am I wrong or are you a priestess of the lady of the Dance?" Pauses

"If it is so could I ask a boon, theirs one here in arvandor who might appreciate the counsel of a SwordDancer"

Says a bit crypticly.

In reply to Arminna Xun'sohna (msg # 785):

"An ancient hero, 638 years ago he saved 43 lives, from a Drow surface raid... but to this day... he is in exile in Arborea.

He cannot ride forth to the prime , take part in a retalitary strike against the lower planes, or even once again aid the followers of the Dark maiden in Svartheim... nothing but sporting tournaments, and mostly meaningless patrols for him. his Craft of swordsplay tastes like ashes... his songs while beautiful are dreadful so full of pain.

Arminna's brow furrows at the mention of a "Drow surface raid".  "And is this individual Drow themselves?" she inquires.

They do so, and after a bit Armianna sees a great sphere of light not small but Grand comes flying in it floats near a point where a small cottage is floats a second and becomes like unto a male elf, but  with pearelscent skin even more beautiful features, tall and beautiful, yet horribly Sad.

"Oh Maiden Dark, Oh Lady Silver hair, so far away now, hear my prayer, hear my song... I have fought and suffered to the innocent protect..." he sighs and gets out a sword.

"I've slaughtered dozens of spiders, put down Ghosts left in Lloths grove, and otherwise sought out SOMETHING to smite, yet it is only so much comfort, my lady." he sighs

"I just wish I could be free again, I know that you know the crime against my peoples sacred law I had no choice but to commit, I know you cannot absolve this crime, but you can understand my love for you by the fact I commited it" he says sighing then begins playing a harp and hes pretty good sighing softly, his music sad, even deprssing....

Arminna hears his song and feels moved by it.  Calling on her inate ability as a drow she invokes Fairie Fire; first as globes of light swirling in the air, then settling down on her to outline her form.
