The spider squeeks a bit from the damage... then attacks Armiana with its sharp sharp legs, but her years of training and dedication allow her to miraculously dodge.

Arminna pulls Jhaelryna clear of the spider, then casts Cure Serious Wounds on her.  Meanwhile, the sword continues its attack.

Spider groans now getting desperate as its losing the fight. and veers towards Meeka.

As Arminna continues to tend to Jhaelryna, the sword attacks the spider again.

Spider Yelps being badly injured and is trying to speed away at this point.

Aleis pointed his flaming blade at the spider once more. but the tip of it came nowhere near the spider.  Instead, another flaming gash above the spider opened, spewed out a gout of lava, and closed.  The expenditure was accompanied by a grunt from the male who seemed keen on destroying the dangerous beast that had wounded him more than he cared to admit.

The spider shudders squeeks and collapses a midst a pile burning pile of of smoldering flesh.

Arminna recalls her sword to her side. "Does anyone need some healing?" she asks.  After taking care of any requests, she begins to clean her sword, waiting to see if any other creatures come at them.

The flame on his blade did a fairly adequate job of cleaning away the spider blood dripping from it.  After the brief stretch it took the blood to boil and burn off, Aleis quieted the flames and returned the sword to its sheath.

"Healing would be much appreciated.  The spider took a decent sized bite out of me."  He replied, examining the bite he had received.

no more Large spiders to be found thankfully...


But the countryscape is desolate...

After a bit... you find a bit ahead, a place that feels more desolate even then the rest and hear an awful femenine screech from up ahead.

Arminna moves cautiously ahead, hand on her sword grip but not drawing it in case she needs to cast a spell.

You hear a dreadful cry "Weaver, Why? Why do you ask this of us!?" Soon enough you find, suprise suprise, a Dark elven ghost.

Shes tormented a face wracked with Pain.

Aleis reached for his blade, then relaxed.  He had far more potent weapons against such a creature should it attack.  "What did your weaver do to you?"  Aleis asked the spirit, not so much trusting it such as trusting himself to thrust it into oblivion if it made any attempt to harm anyone.

She wails "Aurashnee, weaver of destiny, she asked us to perform rites, to help weaken Arvandors defenses, when our high priest balked, she said we did not yet understand" She wails

"WHY?!"

Aleis turned to the others with a raised eyebrow, then back to the spirit.  "So...that weakpoint where even comes through was created intentionally?  Is there a way to fix it?"  The male asked while the others remained silent.  The locals  did not seem to think it could be done, but did the locals actually know what had caused it in the first place?

sighs "The weakpoint was created ages ago... it fixed itself within minutes, but the reprecussions have lasted ages" wails.

Aleis furrowed his eyebrows.  At least the spirit was talkative, but he was not used to taking the active role in any sort of negotiation.  He was only male, after all.  "Help us to purify the area once more.  Let that forgive any misaction you have committed against this place.  How can we erase these repercussions?"

sighs "I... I know not"

Arminna was surprised to see the drow ghost.  She remembered the one she had encountered before, and froze for a moment.  Regaining her composure she whispered to Aleis, "Be careful, she can be powerful. "

Stepping forward, she addresses the ghost.  "You cannot be blamed for the misdeeds of another.  Tell us, what exactly happened. "

"An Agent of Lady Aurashnee, delivered a secret missive to us, to to weaken Arvandors Defenses." she sobs

"WHY Lady of destiny, WHY!" Is screaching clearly in great grief.

Arminna tried to remember where she had heard the name Aurashnee before, and then it suddenly came to her.  "It was Lloth," she said back to her party.  "Aurashnee was the name the Spider Queen used to go by. "

Turning back to the ghost, Arminna said, "Your cries have not gone unheard.  Lady Silverhair has surely guided us here to help you as best we can.  Tell us, what exactly did you do."

"We compromised Arvandors Mystical wards, We never knew why, but a group of Goblinoid deitys, and an Army of Lower Planar creatures at their side, seized the opening.

"Can you guide us there? " Arminna asked.  Then a thought came to her.  "My apologies; we haven't been introduced.  My name is Arminna.  What is yours? "

Meeka's sword Throbs again...

The Wards were righted aeons ago, the damage done while they were compromised, will not be retroactively repaired, anymore then stolen goods will magically reappear, because you repair a defective lock

She pauses

"My Name?" Blinks


"Its been so very long... I am Sister Kyariniel, Junior priestess of Aurashnee" Bows slightly.

Even now still clinging to the title of priestess of the lady of destiny...

"Well met, Kyariniel," Arminna says as she bows in return.  "May the Dark Maiden's blessing be upon you, my friend."
