Champlain is a common French-Canadian name. She could be from Quebec, or well have been stationed in CFB Valcartier.

Character background updated, she is from Quebec.  I did a little more update for motivation and to match the generated character better, as well.

Ah thanks.  I was working on motivations too.  This little mission we are on might get personal for Kelsey.  Then again, she and Rachel both reacted similiar with the hooker killings in the last 'session' too.

No because we have new team members.  Once we start functioning as a team then yes.

Btw -  blood typing chart is in the equipment section under medical gear page 230sh I think.

In reply to Matthew Stone (msg #182):

Max,

Bummer about the team thing, but that's understandable. There's a new team leader at the very least and everyone needs to get used to him.

Appreciate you getting the character sheet and gear sorted out.

Regarding your PC's start, I can narrate you into the briefing (have to wait until later today). Things are a little ad hoc at the moment. Williams is probably at the hospital, and Wayne down is at the city wharf, unless you think they should be at the briefing?

You have a choice of either LAV III or Zodiac, depending on what you think is better!

Max:  I used the chart, nice chart!  Came up with my own blood type, which amused me (A+)

Guys, go with the LAV III and name it "Extra Helping" to go with the current LAV "Lovin' Spoonful".

Looking forward to new team lead, hoping Kelsey moves into senior NCO slot.

Lee,

1) Always like me a good random blood chart!

2) Huh? You still have the same Kodiac/LAV III. There is no new Kodiac/LAV. A Zodiac is not a LAV III!

3) Kel's working her way up as an NCO but is still after Taras (Staff Sgt.) and Andy (Warrant Officer).

Tony.

1.  Arghhhhh!  So confused!

1 again.  I enjoyed it, really!

2.  Nono!  I know we have a new one, but I can't keep Zodiac and Kodiak straight to save my life!  I thought it was an LAV III Kodiak -OR- a Zodiac boat thing?  Regardless, name it "Extra Helpings".

3. Oh right.. well, I meant in the CF, since both those guys are RCMP, ne?  Oh, and I didn't know Andy had proper CF Rank, his character listing says something about SFC or something...

Hawke,

Plenty of surprising things on and in the Fraser River.

1) I guess I could just say "RIB" to mean the Zodiac and LAV-III for the Kodiac. Or the "floaty thing" and "shooty thing".

2) Andy's actual rank is Warrant Officer (OR-7). The Canadian Army has one Sergeant rank (OR-6). Counting, US has 8(!) different "Sergeant" ranks. "Master Sniper" is technically a position/appointment. He can train and lead a battalion sniper detachment (a platoon-sized unit that has no officers). Because it's a recognition, he is addressed as "Master McRae".

3) RCMP rank is somewhat difficult to convert. At one point the Mounties were part of the miltiary and technically still remain there. They got rid of their junior ranks and jump from Staff Sergeant to Inspector (Captain/Major). RCMP Staff Sergeants are senior NCOs and command detachments. They are probably equivalent to OR-7 but for the sake of the unit chain of command RCMP Staff Sergeant is treated as OR-8.

1.  Cool.. "Floaty thing" and "shooty thing" would keep it clear for me!

2.  US also has a rank in the Army for Artillery called "Gunnery Sergeant", E-7, aka "Smoke"  Andy is badass, no arguement there!

3.  thwarted again in my plans of world domination.

Lee,

The artillery equivalent in the CF is "Master Bombardier".

It's ok, if I am not clear on it and you say for instance "The Kodiak", I will simply ask "Is that the shooty thing, or the floaty thing?"

Max,

Okay, I will edit my post so that Max is just coming into the city at the moment. He was delayed at the border. (Sort of an in-joke in Vancouver, going on short trips down to the US for cheap dairy/cigarettes/gas is common but lineups at the border can be long, at least on weekends.)

Lee,

She could have a Hi-Power or Sig P226. The latter are common for female soldiers who can't hold the Hi-Power comfortably but she's a big enough girl.

Team,

I'm a little busy and won't post until later tonight.

I'm AFK tomorrow and thursday.  One of my ambulance crew had a stroke in VA while he was on vacation.  We're going down tomorrow in one of our ambulances to rescue him and bring him home.  That will be 20 hours driving an ambulance down and up the east coast.  Ugh.
