Well, it sucks that Javier decided to bow out. He's getting married back in his native Spain and felt that perhaps this would interfere with his participation. Whatever the reason I'm sure we all wish him the best.

Be that as it may, the show must go on. I can NPC Taras for now to keep things moving. If you want to keep Taras as an NPC I could do that, although I'm not sure how effective this would be in the long run with regards to the unit commander an NPC under the control of the GM.

Kel is the unit 2ic. In other circumstances (with Taras being a casualty, unavailable or transferred to other duties) she would be in command. In that case a promotion would be in order!

I'm relatively fine now.

As for this game, I'd like to take a few more days to read up on the adventure and get some things set up in my head.

Assume a few days off at your base in Burnaby. It's a high school in a partially-devastated area on the outskirts of a nuclear strike between the federal government enclave at the University of British Columbia and the allied city of New Westminster ("New West"). You are close enough to New West to take some time there to relax, or even go out to UBC (this is where Kel's girlfriend Rachel's RCMP detachment is located).

When I'm ready, we'll jump right into it!
