The non encrypted are being left out of the loop.
I am not sure anymore what we have, were we able to recover the pair from our HMMWV?

And if we captured some, Kel will not want to change the settings on at least one, to see if she can listen in on any transmissions.

Re: OOC4

Oh!

And is there any chance that a land line might be intact enough to use?  We could also maybe double back to that big set and transmit that way?
Why don't

Re: OOC4

In reply to Kelsey Sarah Champlain (msg # 174):

Why don't you detail someone to go strip the Humvee (Abbott suggested pulling it out with the tank but I think Taras might want to leave it)? If you do that, I can just say it happens, then. (You could send Tyler and Koldan, or maybe Kel herself might be the best choice.)

I realise that while Tremblay has set up an OP to the east along 56 Ave to cover that direction, he doesn't have an encrypted radio.

The land line you were setting up from Vancouver doesn't reach this far. The houses do not appear to be stripped and so will have normal telco lines (still called "BC Tel" at that time, I think) but the system is non-functioning. No one had the time or capability to set up field telephones in the area.

I think the plan was to recover the Humvee tomorrow. Either way it should be disabled until that time.

Re: OOC4

We are not leaving anything stricly behind. The priority is to CASEVAC and secure the prisoners. Fort Langley is not far away.

At this point we need to evacuate with certain order because the threat still out there as depicted in the jammed comms.

The lack of a relief column, the seriously wounded and night falling quickly makes imperative a move. Vehicles can be retrieved later on. It doesn't seem like the Hell's Angels will be willing to put much of a fight so far but we cannot take it for granted and therefore a well organized convoy is a must.

Re: OOC4

I guess it really isn't that big of a problem.  The truck is stuck in a hole in a back yard in an abandoned neighborhood.  We can take all of the extra ammo, fuel and supplies.with us.  We disable the vehicle by taking a specific part.  Nobody is going to be able to yank out an up armored HMMWV without a lot of help.

Re: OOC4

In reply to Stanley Alistair Abbot (msg # 180):

I decided that Kel and Tremblay would take the captured Humvee to collect the gear from the stranded Humvee. It would make sense she would go to personally oversee collecting the radio gear and, especially, police up all code books, documents, etc.

That means that Kel, Tremblay and Tyler (who was hiding his own car nearby) are about 150m east on 56 Ave of the main group. Tyler and Koldan set up an OP 100m to the west of the intersection of 56 Ave and 248 St (the RV point).

Regarding space, I assume the priority is active and wounded friendlies, then the active and wounde prisoners. Dead (of which you found around 20) are basically being thrown where they will fit!

sounds good... if we have time to search for intel that is good, otherwise the bodies get left where they fell I would think.

Kelsey Sarah Champlain:
Kelsey finishes her camo job and gets the 240 mounted up on the ring of the captured HMMWV, gets a radio online with it as well.

"This is Bishop 1, radio test."

She looked over to Tremblay "Unless you are an expert machine gunner, you drive this critter Keith."

Andrew's has already mounted the .50 cal he got off the enemy column.

In reply to Thomas Matthew Andrews (msg # 183):

I recall that M2HB was mounted on the captured Humvee.

The M240 can go on the pintle mounted on the Iltis's roll bar? Actually, I think the CF ones moved the pintle to the front passenger side (only useable if the windscreen if folded down). Except I think the Iltis is being driven west down 56 Ave to investigate the sighting from the OP?

IF everyone has reacted, I will get on to posting!

I will not remove a Ma Deuce in favor of a 240.  Ever.

Belay that, the 240 just goes in the back deck with the ammo.

Then... Abbot? Hawke is likely with the wounded. Andrews is setting up the Carl Gustav and AT-4 (M134) rockets alongside the road, although he's another option. Or Kel could get up there herself?

For ease of play, I assume Kel and Treblay have returned as they were only 150m or so away.

But Abbot manning up the Ma-Deuce would make sense.

Abbot is on the Ma-Deuce, per implicit instructions.

We are waiting on Vision checks from Andy and Mac at this point. I don't want to assume they are simply letting the elephant(s) approach without some further action.
