Very well...Yes, there was an old gentleman in charge of Fort Langley that was assaulted. Apparently there is a group of heavily armed bandits using elephants and they may be in association with the Hell's Angels.

Sweeping through the HA abandoned compound we found INTEL regarding one of the river dams in Mission. This could be of interest for the Integrated Reconstruction Program.Since this may have an strategic value it would be interesting to see what are they up to. With the elephants we can deal too. We just need to regroup, refuel and rearm and send a hunting party.

Sorry to hear about the situation in the Island. I understand that if the current capital is in danger we could be needed there. It all depends on the size of the offensive. Since we are close to Ft. Langley we are going to return there. We'll wait for further instructions.

"I have a feeling it's not a coincidence those American troops showed up with elephants somewhere near Ft. Langley, then our elephants go missing. What are the odds? If they heard about these animals, they could be looking for replacement mounts. Your report indicates they could be heading towards Langley, according to those people you talked to. I think it's important we understand this situation. Based on Koldan and Tyler's intel, we believe renegade US Army forces are dealing with the HAs. Not officially but as their morale collapses anything they have in their inventory is for sale and priced to move.

"If you are capable of movement, then I suggest you pursue the lead of the American elephant cavalry. But if you think pursuing the HAs towards Mission is more important, you can make that call. If you head back to Ft. Langley I can check with HQ for further orders, but they'll likely want to pull you out and send your team over to the Island to help stop the Soviets."

Taras turned his head to the rest of the team on sight:

"I still want to find out what happened to the elephants," said Mac, who was quite concerned about them.

"Yes I think the recovery of the elephants and checking out the dam are probably paramount now."

It was noon as the team regrouped at Ft. Langley.

As the elephants were likely headed south for the US border, and American soldiers were seen in Abbottsford, it sounded like "Abby" was where they were headed next, if only for a quick look-see.

While the the team leaders talked over plans and schedules, Abbot made sure that the HMMWV was refueled and serviced in preparation for their next trip out the gate.

Let;s take a look at Abbotsford and the crossing points with the United States. Perhaps we can set up a couple of OPs and try to find the elephant party.

The trusty roadmap was again taken from the Officer's bag.

Sumas

Shortly, the team was ready to move out again.

From the fort, on its rise, they could see the pall of smoke rising from the HA compound to the south of the freeway, although there were still trees in the way.

Before they left they would need to decide on a route of march (to Abbotsford and the Border at Sumas) and personnel.

Thomas got his gear back together and in some semblance of order for the road trip he waited by the Humvee for someone to tell him where he was riding. Having given his weapons a clean the night before he checks over his combat load with a quick visual check.

We are taking the Trans Canada Highway. Is not far from here. Around 35 km over says the map. We can be there in about half an hour.

Andy made sure his gear was ready to go.

"You want me to bring the fifty-cal rifle? I thought I was going to duel Mr. Brownstone using it but if he was the clown we picked up yesterday, maybe there's no need anymore."

Plenty of room in the vehicles for that monster. Who knows...maybe useful against an elephant charge!

"Don't shoot the elephants!" said Mac, who was still worrying about the ones he'd met.

Hope not! Better carry a big stick, anyways!

He was joking... probably.

Plenty of room! Bring them in. I had enough of surprises with that "55" popping around. We were lucky, though. I was surprised how hard that thing was to smash. Border land can be...how you call it? Indian territory?

Tremblay retrieved the ERYX and two spare rounds of ammunition, placing it in the trunk of the Humvee.

"Ok. So here's what we're doing, if I can suggest:

"Then the Cougar (Knight) on overwatch with Taras, Darek and Wayne.

"The Humvee (Bishop) with Hawke driving, Abbott runs the gun, Sergeant Champlain as passenger, myself and Andrews in the rear with the Carl Gustav and ERYX in the trunk. We are on drag as the reaction unit.

"As a suggested route change, instead of going down the Trans-Canada, which we've gone down before in the last couple days, we go down a parallel route along River Road along the Fraser. It's a little rough going but the Iltis already pioneered this route. We can then cut south down Highway 10 and it's a straight shot down to "Abby" (Abbotsford)."
