um... you're not the only psionic...

That's part of the problem.  Most of the problem actually.  Leo has, I hope, learned to shield his surface thoughts a little so that only the ones he wants to have broadcast are picked up, but there aren't feats or skills(maybe concentration or autohypnosis) that represent that well, and I doubt it should be a big enough thing to warrant making a feat for it...

Beside who wants surface thoughts....all the interesting ones are much deeper inside ;-)

Given that large numbers of races have a +2 will save vs psionics, I'm sure you'll be fine. There isn't much for you to worry about. I'm primarily a social mover.

Re: OOC: CHAT

Leo moves.  He's social.  That's public information.

It is just that O'maeda women have been hunting Leo most of his life and trying to imprison him.

Even his surface thoughts upon seeing an O'maeda Female are loud, and since he's telepathic too, they technically don't have to do anything to hear them.

Thankfully a screamed profanity is almost as good as an Illithid's Mindblast if you're loud enough...
XD

If he can reasonably hope to keep his secrets, then nearby you is probably the best place for him to hide.  Near a public figure, who probably would have chained him up if she knew...  Others would never think to look there...

You're not in O'maeda space. You've every legal right to walk around without a female chaperone. Although it's hard to understand why you would want to. After all, we know you males are the weaker sex. You can't help but give in to your carnal desires.

Go on Aziza, play with the mans clothes! The Goddess knows he wears too many clothes as it is. We need to see some skin.

I've been tempted to post IC, but I think it would be likely she'd be more focussed on the job rather than the male running away.

In fact, with only one habitation module, and the only other female on board being the Cesti, things might be very interesting indeed. She was mildly surprised that none of the males had requested separate habitation from herself, it wasn't as if she intended to sport with any of them, but the proper courtesies should be maintained.

Good point, and one in which I had made a slightly different assumption. With this habitation module, will we each have our own room? Or will we be sharing sleeping quarters?

Re: OOC: CHAT

Hey, by human standards, the O'maeda male is treated like a God.  Pampered, cuddled, and given no real responsibilities other than the pleasurable reproduction.  No where does it say they were 'house-hubbies' to piggish disgusting females.  Besides, TK allows for simple work of house chores.

Leo isn't saying it's bad either.  It just doesn't comply well with his feeling of wanderlust, and the need to prove to himself that he could be whatever he wants and that he has more value than a simple sex object.  That he could protect a woman should he care about her, or at least protect himself enough so that she would not have to worry about him if it came to conflict.

I always felt that gray matter, boiling like so much jell-o from the eyes, nose, ears, and finally the heart and entrails bursting volcanically through the mouth had a little more intimidation factor to all of the other idiots that thought, "Oh, He's O'maeda, their males are the ones that have bodyguards and are shielded by women all the time!  Lets get him to assert our position of masculinity over the already socially neutered males!"

Or punching through an offensive man's chest after delivering a pirouette...

Re: OOC: CHAT

Intimidation is a matter of mindset. One can intimidate with a mere glare. There's no need to actually resort to using physical force, when one can direct anyone to do almost anything by manipulation and suggestion and rewarding behaviour that I...sorry, I mean we like.

Rendering others into goo isn't always the best option.

We do try to protect and cosset our men from the harsh realities of life. In some households it is true, men are no more than property. Those houses are in the minority. In most they are valued and productive members of the household. In a few  of the more progressive ones they're almost equals.

However, I will not intrude in your mind. You're free to have your violent male fantasies if you wish. I have no need of your body in my house either. When I obtain my licenses for reproduction I'll pay for the services of a male that has the traits I wish my children to have. You have nothing to offer me.

If you're wondering how I know so certainly that it was a cigarette, the fire started in the bar ditch next to the road.  Sparks from a car's exhaust won't generally make it there and the tall grass shades bottles so they can't start a fire either.

By the TOU, any player and any player character in a mature or adult game must be at least 18 years of age. Also by the TOU as a player in an adult/mature game I now have a responcibility to monitor said games content and report infractions to the Admins. I am saying this here to give you a chance to clear this up.

Exactly, this game isn't Adult, it's mature.

Also, I have an adult game, and have 1 minor character there, but she is never in any thread where sex or questionable activities happen, and I have asked the Mods way before having her there about her being there. She is in public threads, and not in any thread but public threads that do not contain any sexual situations. Not that my game is based upon sex, it just deals with slavery, in a D&D type game.

Re: OOC: CHAT

From the ToU

Because there is no Restricted Content (as defined by our Policies) permitted in a Mature game, there is no need for a minimum age.  The GM of a game is, of course, allowed to set a minimum age for their game and enforce it as they like.  If, however, the content of the game is such that children should not be exposed to it, the game must be rated Adult, without exception.

Therefor, if a player can be of any age, a PC can to.

Mature games are games which have (as some minor portion of them) mature themes, strong language, drug use, and/or extensive violence.  Mature games use the Mature Content flag to warn potential readers that some of the game material may be considered offensive.  Despite this flag, Mature Games must remain suitable to all ages.

Adult games are games which have as part of their content graphic sex or graphic and gratuitous violence.  Though their story and plot may be very strong and elaborate, they detail sex and/or gore in a way to which children and teens should not be exposed.  Adult games are restricted in access to subscribers1 who are (1) of the age of majority and (2) have specifically requested access to Adult games.  In no case are Adult materials permitted in any public area of RPoL: GMs of Adult games must take care that only those users who are members of their game can view the Adult materials contained therein.

NOT allowed in any form:
sexual acts involving children under the age of 18, or
the sexual exploitation of minors.

This is supposed to be a Mature game and not an adult one, so comments about what in actual fact T'risa may in actual fact be biting that belong to Leo have to be left to the imagination.

The ship, you'll be pleased to hear is absolutely massive. However, we'll be staying in tiny, almost claustrophobic cubicles inside the habitation module they bolted on. The room does lock from the inside and it is a manual lock, and then you'll be really, really happy about that for a few seconds until you remember that we both have TK.

That's not fair! I need someone to keep my feet warm.

For size comparison, let's see, a football field is about 300 feet long and 150 feet wide, so that's about right, maybe slightly on the small side.  IIRC (Not bothering to look it up) the original Enterprise on Star Trek was about 2100 feet long and an Imperial Star Destroyer on Star Wars is about 5000 feet long, by comparison.

Okay I have a good visual reference for you guys, The crow is a long range scout ship, Not a very big Starship but it has room for a power plant that can drive a city or finesse a hole in space time and allow it to slip into hyperspace

It is roughly the length of a 747 jumbo jet and can easily reach supersonic speeds n atmosphere. With a full fuel load, she can cruise on her sub light engines for months, or a few days in hyperspace. She is equipped to process her own fuel and carries a gravitic scoop to allow her to harvest gas and dust. Or land and take on water or ice to refine into usable fuel.

nope not ferringi, it actually a bit of cut and paste and texturing to get what I wanted. And In this case most of it's crew are robotic, Our clever Cesti whipped up her crew from spare parts and her tool kit...and I'd suggest you be nice to them some of them bite. the ship is pretty fast and well armed, and has room for a shuttle and a couple of drones if you guys ever come up with them.

Now on a second front.... Damn that was brutal, just goes to show you rolling a piss poor initiative will screw you over when everyone goes before you do :P

You take a shot at me you get the whole CA up your ass. This is your only warning - back the hell up or ELSE!"

And now Kale gets to learn that everyone else is with the CA as well. That'll be fun. :)

Why not? Colonial Marshal authority according the GM is largely based on a "here I am" type of authority....and we're all law enforcers on the station. Technically everyone involved should get a cut, including Pepper. The crime he committed on the station, supercedes anything he's done anywhere else though he can be extradited. T'risa has been told he was paid to attack her.

The GM will decide.

For Notes: to avoid recurances of the events that transpired while I was offline due to technical difficulties… The damn repairman drove in from Tibet I guess.

Experience, Hero points, Fate points and such are the domain of the GM to allocate. Treasure, Items, equipment, bounties and payment for goods and services are strictly an IC ( In character ) thing to be decided between characters. IC disputes between characters are to remain IC rational debate OCC is allowed of course, bickering, fighting and name calling is not.( Not that anyone was name calling or being unusually rude)

I will not interrupt an IC argument unless it crosses the line or threatens the game... AND BY GOD WHEN I SAY SHUT UP AND PLAY NICE YOU BETTER DO SO.

I will smite those involved with Furious vengeance. if I am required to referee a school yard pissing match
OOC that is. IC you all are supposed to be adults and gamers...IC is not for real, and it is not a personal insult not to get our way.(fights between characters are stock in trade in movies, books, games and video games.)If they break out once in a while have fun with them and play them up if you want, just don't mess up the game for everyone else.

<red>If you Attack anyone in my worlds It is a not take back situation Unless you burn all your fate point, Hero points, and action points to do so<red>

Up to the point you pull the trigger or swing a lethal weapon, you can call for GM intervention if you decide the situation has gone absolutely out of control and you want to hit the brakes...Once you commit to violence the universe and death are neutral players. the results of your actions are permanent

Yes the ship is huge...But it also has to allow room for a

Dark Matter fueled reactor.
Hyperdrive
Gravitic Repulsion lifters
Maneuver Drives (thrusters)
Main Sub light drive
an extensive Sensor array: She is a scout after all
Point defense weapons
Main weapons
Missile bays
crew quarters
Life support
and Various things like a sand box and scratching post...

Most ships in my worlds are larger than such worlds as STAR WARS, worlds which has had starship technology for millennia...Most races have only been building their own starships for a few centuries. The Cesti are the best at building small starships like scouts corvettes and attack craft. they tend to leave the big stuff to the other races. they prefer a small fast nimble ship fitted with Modular pods so they can adapt the ship as they need to. The Millennium falcon is by far a superior design, faster more agile and much smaller than any ship of similar performance in this world. But that’s because the people who built it could make reallllllllyyyyyy small engines and reactors, and hyperdrives that outperform any thing in this world.

Hi Prometheus. It's good to hear from you! I hope things work out well/fast for you!

ISP's can be a pain. Depending on where you are I think you can get Cox high speed cable access for about 29$ a month. I think the first month might be 19.99. Anyway if you do any downloading it's a nice service to have. Updating windows, Anti virus programs et et.

It also means that if you don't need a land line you can have a cell phone instead. Cost is probably fairly similar with the difference being the cell phone is mobile.

Still is: Cesti Pilots are still the Best

There are several competing rumors about what happened to our GM.  I'll run down the general list here:

Rumor #1: Prometheus' new internet connection came to life spontaneously turning him into a cyborg and attempting to take over the world.  He became pure energy, downloaded himself onto the internet, and was killed seconds later by a flood of spam directly into his brain.

Rumor #2: Our GM was showering when a sudden influx of acid rain contaminated the water table, and he was horribly scarred.  He decided to become a masked crime fighter, but unfortunately lives in a small town with a population of only 200 people and has been waiting for months for a crime to happen.

Rumor #3: Prometheus tried to deal with his stress by drinking catnip tea, and was kidnapped by Cesti to use as a novelty pillow.

This merely stresses how dangerous the world is, and the importance of avoiding dangerous activities such as websurfing, bathing, or eating in order to survive this dangerous world.
