Re: OOC: CHAT

First, its Van, only his mamma called him Kale.

T'risa, sorry Van works solo.

Leoulin (isn't that a girl's name?), cows are only holy in Hinduism and 60's Batman shows.

Raul All Van's borg parts are below the skin...and you would probably have to kill him first.

Everybody covered?

Well, I'm the team medic, so if you get shot up and need healing/repair, I'm your go-to guy.

Re: OOC: CHAT

Why kill anyone?

Just turn him into a mindless zombie. That way at least you get a household servant out of the deal and it saves you from having to clean up all the icky bits.

oh....that might be a little insensitive towards you Leo.

Re: OOC: CHAT

Hey, by human standards, the O'maeda male is treated like a God.  Pampered, cuddled, and given no real responsibilities other than the pleasurable reproduction.  No where does it say they were 'house-hubbies' to piggish disgusting females.  Besides, TK allows for simple work of house chores.

Leo isn't saying it's bad either.  It just doesn't comply well with his feeling of wanderlust, and the need to prove to himself that he could be whatever he wants and that he has more value than a simple sex object.  That he could protect a woman should he care about her, or at least protect himself enough so that she would not have to worry about him if it came to conflict.

I always felt that gray matter, boiling like so much jell-o from the eyes, nose, ears, and finally the heart and entrails bursting volcanically through the mouth had a little more intimidation factor to all of the other idiots that thought, "Oh, He's O'maeda, their males are the ones that have bodyguards and are shielded by women all the time!  Lets get him to assert our position of masculinity over the already socially neutered males!"

Or punching through an offensive man's chest after delivering a pirouette...

Re: OOC: CHAT

Intimidation is a matter of mindset. One can intimidate with a mere glare. There's no need to actually resort to using physical force, when one can direct anyone to do almost anything by manipulation and suggestion and rewarding behaviour that I...sorry, I mean we like.

Rendering others into goo isn't always the best option.

We do try to protect and cosset our men from the harsh realities of life. In some households it is true, men are no more than property. Those houses are in the minority. In most they are valued and productive members of the household. In a few  of the more progressive ones they're almost equals.

However, I will not intrude in your mind. You're free to have your violent male fantasies if you wish. I have no need of your body in my house either. When I obtain my licenses for reproduction I'll pay for the services of a male that has the traits I wish my children to have. You have nothing to offer me.

Some of us don't have so much of the options of bending others minds.  My psychic gifts lay primarily in physical manifestation of destructive force.

My farm's on fire.  Some idiot threw out a cigarette into the brush.  If it heads this way I'll have to evacuate and my computer will burn, I may be out of contact for some time.

Re: OOC: CHAT

The fire passed without destroying anything too valuable, couple of acres of woods and maybe fifty of fields went up.  The wind blew it past the house without hitting anything although it did make it to within about a quarter-mile.  Thanks for your concern everybody.

Re: OOC: CHAT

If they have caught 'em I haven't heard of it.  They generally don't though, cigarette fires don't really have any usable evidence and the culprit is miles away down the highway by the time it starts.

If you're wondering how I know so certainly that it was a cigarette, the fire started in the bar ditch next to the road.  Sparks from a car's exhaust won't generally make it there and the tall grass shades bottles so they can't start a fire either.
