Re: OOC: CHAT

200-250 is an ultralight, the Crow is a light, 250-500.

For size comparison, let's see, a football field is about 300 feet long and 150 feet wide, so that's about right, maybe slightly on the small side.  IIRC (Not bothering to look it up) the original Enterprise on Star Trek was about 2100 feet long and an Imperial Star Destroyer on Star Wars is about 5000 feet long, by comparison.

Re: OOC: CHAT

Ummmmm.....if you mean an American football field I'm afraid I've no idea how big one is. I've never been to one and I've only ever seen one during the superbowl...during which time I was either reading or asleep.

Actually from the large number of players on the field. I believe I am correct in saying it is massive.

Re: OOC: CHAT

Alright, quick 'n dirty math, 500 feet = 150 meters.  250 feet = 75 meters.

Unfortunately.....those are still numbers which I have a hard time conceptualizing. I know how big one meter is, it's still hard to figure out how big 150 of them is lol

I'm.....I'm not making this easy on you, am I?

Wow not having thought about it before, that was quite some shot at 675ft. Though I doubt it will be of any matter considering the guy seems to have already been shot in the head and still living. I am curious though what will happen afterwards and perhaps Kale might be in the crosshairs of my scope here soon enough.

Would it help if I said that the Eiffel Tower is 300 m (sans antenna); which is 986 ft?

Re: OOC: CHAT

Name some big objects you are familiar with and perhaps we can make a better comparison.  I can only describe size in terms of comparison to other objects, and it seems you aren't really familiar with any of the common references (Feet and Meters).  Does half a kilometer help any?
A soccer (Football outside of America) field is usually 75 meters but it's rules allow for different sizes, unlike American Football.  So 1-2 soccer fields long.

Umm...A car? I know how long a meter is and can visualise one meter without any problems, but 150?

I guess this is the time to say I have some issues with 3d spatial awareness.

I've been on the Eiffel Tower. but 150m if I remember the scale of the thing would be more than massive....it would be gigantic!

Yes, I am pale. It runs in the family. And if you are so in need of a foot warmer/bed woarmer, by all means, take the male.

Re: OOC: CHAT

For the record, the smallest classification of Mecha is twice the size of an adult human male in good health, in all dimensions.

The smallest ships, Ultralight, are what I'd call, very, very, big.

The largest ships are 'Death Star' sized things that could be mistaken for small planets...

yeah... there are no 'fighter jets' when you're talking about space travel...  well, there are interceptor class which are pretty much the same, but still, those are hardly enough to call 'modern spacecraft' as mobile guns.

Re: OOC: CHAT

Okay I have a good visual reference for you guys, The crow is a long range scout ship, Not a very big Starship but it has room for a power plant that can drive a city or finesse a hole in space time and allow it to slip into hyperspace

It is roughly the length of a 747 jumbo jet and can easily reach supersonic speeds n atmosphere. With a full fuel load, she can cruise on her sub light engines for months, or a few days in hyperspace. She is equipped to process her own fuel and carries a gravitic scoop to allow her to harvest gas and dust. Or land and take on water or ice to refine into usable fuel.

Re: the "Crow"

nope not ferringi, it actually a bit of cut and paste and texturing to get what I wanted. And In this case most of it's crew are robotic, Our clever Cesti whipped up her crew from spare parts and her tool kit...and I'd suggest you be nice to them some of them bite. the ship is pretty fast and well armed, and has room for a shuttle and a couple of drones if you guys ever come up with them.

Now on a second front.... Damn that was brutal, just goes to show you rolling a piss poor initiative will screw you over when everyone goes before you do :P

Kale Van Olween:
"Back off you Mind Witch. I'm a Colonial Authority Marshal, here to collect a bounty. This Cesti is wanted on a half dozen worlds and is worth a lot of money to me. YOU need to slow your roll and back your shit up before I ventalate your cranium like I did his, capice? That goes for the rest of you half-wits to, and the sniper - wherever he is. You take a shot at me you get the whole CA up your ass. This is your only warning - back the hell up or ELSE!"

*snicker*

And now Kale gets to learn that everyone else is with the CA as well. That'll be fun. :)

And on a side note, how's Raul coming with his drugs?

He really doesn't have a lot of luck this trip out.

Personally I would have thought the fact I was wearing CA fatigues might have clued him in....

Raul's on drugs??? He must have taken the death very seriously.

Says who? Van claimed him. You cant walk in at the last second and expect to split it when he did all the work. I'm calling bullshit on this. You dont write the rules here, the GM does.

Re: the "Crow"

But as I recall you didn't do the work alone. A few of us were right there with ya. Now you can claim it all you want. But the rules state if you don't have the strength to keep what you claim....well it just might go to those who do. And right now your outnumbered what 4 to 1. Not great odds if you plan on being a jerk.

Why not? Colonial Marshal authority according the GM is largely based on a "here I am" type of authority....and we're all law enforcers on the station. Technically everyone involved should get a cut, including Pepper. The crime he committed on the station, supercedes anything he's done anywhere else though he can be extradited. T'risa has been told he was paid to attack her.

The GM will decide.

Okay, it's massive in comparison to your car, the Millenium Falcon, or Gay Deceiver.  It's just not so big when you put it next to the the Enterprise.
